The Equality Act (2010) Report of Assistant Principal – Corporate Services 31 October 2012
Our Commitment Equality & Diversity is placed at the heart of what we do and we work actively towards eliminating discrimination, harassment and bullying because of race, ethnic origin, disability, religion or belief, gender, sexual orientation, age or any other grounds.
Background
The report details staff and student statistics for the College by equality measures. It should be read in conjunction with the College’s Single Equality Scheme and the related action plans and ensures that the College complies with the Equality Act (2010)
The College has between 4 and 7 specific objectives for each of the following equality measures. The details of these objectives are in each of the equality action plans.
Delivery against these objectives is monitored by the Equality and Diversity group; the senior management team and the governing board.
The College’s Single Equality Scheme is wholly reviewed on a three-yearly basis. This results in the objectives being re-aligned and revised and ensures that the four-yearly update required by The Equality Act (2010) is easily met.
