description

This past Tuesday was Equal Pay Day, the day that represents how far into 2011 women have to work to earn what men earned in 2010. To mark Equal Pay Day, Representative Rosa DeLauro and Senator Barbara Mikulski reintroduced the Paycheck Fairness Act into the House and Senate, respectively. The Paycheck Fairness Act died in the Senate last November, but supporters promised that they would continue to work on getting this "commonsense" law passed. In this installment of The Proactive Employer Podcast, we'll be discussing the Paycheck Fairness Act and the gender pay gap. We'll talk about what the Act could mean for businesses, how it might affect employment, and whether the Act will have an impact on reducing the gender pay gap.
