The machinery section opens with a selection of general product news stories ofaround 300-350 words in length, on machines, equipment, software, services andancillaries for all processes in the industry. The majority of articles in EPPM havespace for at least one or two hi-resolution images of the product beingdescribed. We also particularly welcome case studies in the machinerysection.

FeaturesSupplementing product news is the issue feature. This is a dedicated sectionfor one specific type of machinery, varying with each edition.

SpotlightsRunning throughout the magazine as a ‘theme’ to the issue, the spotlights alsohone in on one type of machine or process.

MaterialsThis section follows a similar format to the above, but is dedicated to new grades, additives, masterbatches, composites, compounds and engineering plastics. Mostarticles are around 300-350 words plus one or two images. Case studies, Q&As,technical articles and market reports are all considered for inclusion here.

Application ShowcaseThis new section has been designed based on feedback from our readers, whohave requested a regular focus on the major markets for plastic processors.

New for 2014: Process OutlookAn in-depth report on new trends in the major plastic processes, with contributions, opinions and forecasts from key players in each sector.

Circulation BreakdownEPPM continues to invest heavily in its circulation development, but what is the point in claimingthe highest quality circulation if you don’t have an independent audit to prove it? So, in 2012 wecommissioned the BPA, the world’s leading and most stringent magazine auditors to verify ourprinted circulation. Of course our magazine’s circulation is just one element of EPPM’s fulldistribution, as many of our readers prefer to read our title as a digital edition having registeredonline on our website or having received a registration request and digital copy by e-mail.

Our BPA audit certificate confirms that EPPM sends out 6,000 printed magazines per issueand each issue is 100% requested by its registered reader. This 6,000 printed copy circulationis the largest requested circulation of any other pan-European magazine in the plasticsindustry and this requested figure is over a third larger than our nearest competitor.

The following figures confirm the diverse distribution of EPPM’s printed magazines across theEuropean plastics industry. Our audit also confirms that we have targeted a high percentage ofindividuals in senior management — the ones who hold the purse strings, make the strategicbuying decisions and sign the final purchase order.

EPPM in Print - 6000 copies (BPA Audited)Our BPA audit confirms that EPPM send out 6,000 printed copies per issue to 100% ofregistered readers in 35 countries across Europe.

eppm.comeppm.com was part of Rapid News Groups investment in EPPM in2013. The new site has a fresh layout with a proven editorial formatadopted elsewhere in our group, designed to be the perfect platform todisplay the latest news and views in front of just under 100,000 visitorsper year from the European and Global plastics industry. Working handin hand with our weekly news email broadcast the new website utilisesevery opportunity to help you get your sales message over to its visitors. Please read on for a rundown of what’s on offer.

News and product sectionsOur website covers the very latest industry news stories as they break, with regular dailyupdates. We display headline stories in an easy-to-digest format on the homepage. All othernews and product stories will be found in relevant sections across the website, so visitors willnever be more than a click away from what they are looking for. Whether it’s a short visitbetween meetings or a more detailed search through our directory, our new site will be theultimate tool to boost their process.

Plastrep.com — a new global directory Also new in 2013 was EPPM new directory, Plastrep.com. eppm.com is an entry point to thisglobal directory, designed to play host to companies at every end of the supply chain, including producers of raw materials, manufacturers of machinery and equipment for everymajor process, as well as distributors and agents, consultant services and event organisers. The site is designed for quick and simple sourcing of a local product or supplier — whereverthe user may be based.

A world of tweetsIt’s official — twitter has reached the plastics industry in a big way, and eppm.com has fullyembraced this digital form of communication. We have established a strong community ofprocessors and suppliers, who use our twitter feed as a forum for exchanging ideas, andalerting colleagues of the latest developments – all of which will be featured in full view on thehomepage of our new website. If you have something to contribute to this expandingcommunity and you've got news to broadcast on twitter, simply tweet us @eppm_magazineand we'll get your message seen by our multitude of followers and on our website.

Industry events listingsHow many times have you been in a meeting and no one can remember the exact dates of animportant event? That’s why eppm.com features an events listing section, so visitors to the sitecan use it to plan their year ahead.

Advertising opportunities on eppm.comWe took a fresh approach with the size, shape and position of the advertising opportunitieswith our new web site. Rather than asking advertisers to present their sales message in a staticbanner we made available new positions almost four times the size, and with the new (almostsquare) MPU (Mid-Page Unit) we offered an advertising position five times the surface area ofprevious ads. And for those companies who wish to retain the more traditional logo/hotlinkapproach we have catered for them also, but we’re offering twice the space in comparisonwith the old site for the same price.

A word or two about MPUs (Mid-Page Units)We have already mentioned the size benefits of a MPU position on our new web site, but thestand out benefit is a captured audience every time a visitor sees your advert. So eitherthrough your own design team or with the support of ours (at no extra cost), you can presentyour company’s sales message through a multi-framed animated gif, giving you a far betteropportunity to get your message across and encourage the visitor to click through to your siteto find out more.

Banner advertising The headline banner on any website is always the first position to catch the eye when loggingon, but so often web designers forget that it disappears when visitors scroll down the page.We have solved that problem with our new site by also introducing banners at the foot of thepage. Advertisers can now either secure a position at the top or bottom of the page — or both! It’s not rocket science, but it gets you noticed.
