Dear friends,
I am happy to reach you with the latest updates from Marcellin Trust,
Trichy.
The last few months were really filled with many activities such as Rainbow
Summer Camp 2017, Family Support Group Meeting with Br. Ray, Rainbow
Tour, La Valla Evening Study Centre Picnic, Education Support Programme and
so on. First of all, a big thank you to every one for your support and encour-
agement in our mission towards children whom God has entrusted to us!
This short report brings you the wonderful things happening in the lives of
many abandoned and discriminated children and young people in our society
through Rainbow and La Valla Evening Study Centre projects.
Fraternally,

Rainbow Summer Camp 2017
‘Climbing NEW Heights’ - the theme of Rainbow Summer Camp 2017. The five day
camp became a milestone for our children as we walked side by side, sharing our stories,
caring for and playing with one another, learning and growing together as one family into
a new awareness of positive thinking, human and spiritual values and our rights as human
persons.
Each day was dedicated for various topics and was facilitated by well experienced re-
source people who felt at home with our children and contributed generously towards the
successful encounters among the children from both Operation Rainbow and La Valla
Evening Study Centres.

About 90 children actively participated in the 5-day
camp and benefited a lot. Each day began with a prayer
and was followed by presentations and various activi-
ties. In the afternoons children enjoyed playing various
games and sports. All were served lunch daily.

is updated every issue, for instance, an
advice column, a book review, a letter
from the president, or an editorial. You
can also profile new employees or top
customers or vendors.
This story can fit 100-150 words.
The subject matter that appears in news-
letters is virtually endless. You can in-

You may also want to note business or
economic trends, or make predictions
for your customers or clients.
If the newsletter is distributed internally,
you might comment upon new proce-

One benefit of using your newsletter as
a promotional tool is that you can reuse
content from other marketing materials,

While your main goal of distributing a
newsletter might be to sell your product

A great way to add useful content to
your newsletter is to develop and write
your own articles, or include a calendar
of upcoming events or a special offer
that promotes a new product.
You can also research articles or find
“filler” articles by accessing the World

ety of topics but try to keep your articles
short.

Thanking and Honouring Br. Ray Arthur with a Memento

In April we had the privilege of honouring Rev. Br.
Ray Arthur from Sydney, Australia who was a Visi-
tor to India Sector when Marist Brothers, India Sec-
tor was part of the Province of Sydney and Mel-
bourne, Australia. After 13 years he visited us on his
way to Sri Lanka.
One day tour was organised to Thiruvannamalai Tem-
ple (Temple of Siva, a Hindu god), Chenji Kottai
(Chenji Fort built in the 9th Century and was called as
‘Troy of the East’ by the British), Villianoor Gratia
Plena Church (Pilgrimage place of the Christians) and
Pondicherry Beach. About 75 families both parents
and children boarded two buses and started their jour-

Family Sustainability Programme - Goat Rearing by Rainbow families
Goats were given out to sixteen families in August 2016. After about eight months we visited the families
to find out whether the goat rearing activity was successful. We were happy to see that out of 16 goats, 8
had given birth to 9 new ones. One family was found having sold the goat due to shortage of food.
We are planning to distribute another 15 goats to families in the project. This will help them to support
their families in near future. Good luck to all families!
