Temporal treasure causes us to lose focus. (v. 7)

• Jesus had much to say about chasing temporal riches.

• To be so focused on temporal possessions as to miss the eternal riches is the height of folly.

• The more money and possessions one has, the more complex life becomes.

• Material things demand time and energy that could be better spent on eternal realities.

• The supreme goal of a believer's life must be to love and glorify God, not to amass material possessions
