Christa:Sure.Yeah.Youknow,well,so,somanytimesthatwe'vetalked,I'vesaid,"Alldiseasebeginsinthegut,"youknow,overandoveragain.Butnowmyresearchovertheselastthreeorfouryearsreallyshowsthatthenervoussystemisthefoundationofallhealth.It'slikethefoundationofourhouseandeverythingelseisbuiltuponthat.Andsothere'sovertsignsthatwe'relivingoffofstresshormones,andthebiggestsignischronicanxietyandinsomnia,feelingsofbeinggovernedbyfearandoverwhelmed.Thosearetelltalesignsthatwe'relivingoffthestresshormones.Soifyouwakeupbetween1:00and4:00a.m.andyourheartispounding,areyoureadytostartthedayoryouwakeupveryearlyinthemorningwithyourheartpounding,that'sasign.Butexhaustioncanalsobeasignandthyroidissues.

thinkaboutwhat'shappened,thischaotichormonalwhirlpoolthatisjustyou'releachingyourbodyofvitaminsandminerals,andit'sthiscrazy...likeit'sawhirlpool,right?It'sgotalifeofitsown.Theonlywaytogetyououtofitistoconstantlyinterruptthatpattern.Andsousingfoodfrequencyistheonlywaytocauseapatterninterrupttoslowlystartshiftingthat,youknow,ferociouswaterandstartgettingitbacktheotherway.Andyes,we'refindingthatwomenarevastlyunder-eatingprotein.

Sonow,soI'vedonethisworkmyselftobeabletodismantlethatlimitingbelief,like,isitreallytrue?No.Anditcanstarttolookandseeallthewaysthatwe'resupported.Andifyoucanstarttoseehowtheoppositecanbetrue,youstartattractingalloftheopposite,theloveandthesupportandallofthosethings.Sowetakepeoplethroughaprocesstoidentifytheirlimitingbeliefsandbeabletorevolvethemanddismantlethem.Andthenextstepafterthatistakingradicalpersonalaccountabilityandresponsibilityforourentireexperienceoflife.

AndIknowoneofthequestionsyouwanttoaskmeiswhatwasoneofmyfavoritebooksofalltimeandthemostinfluential?SoI'mgoingtoanswerthatnowandsaythatitwas"TheFourAgreements"byDonMiguelRuiz.Andhetalksinthatbookof,youknow,it'sallaboutpersonalaccountabilityandresponsibilityofspeakingwithintegrity,notmakingassumptions,nottakingthingspersonally.Andthisiseverythingthatweteachwithalifecoach,TonyRobbinslifecoach,andanemotionalmasterycoachaswellasmyself,kindof,takingpeoplethroughthisprocessbecausewhenyouunderstandthatpersonalaccountabilityisaspectrum,right?Likeimpasseattractsnarcissists,andpeoplepleasersattractmanipulators.Andthiswholething,yourealizethatyoudon'twanttobeoneithersideofthespectrum.Youwanttobeinthecenterlinewhereyoucanhave,youcantakerightpersonalaccountabilitytowhereyoudon'thavetocreateandattracttheoppositeexperienceanymore.Youcansetfirmboundariesandit'sadifferentexpressionofintegritythatyoucanlivewith.Andsokindofgoingfromthereoncewestarttounderstandthatandpracticethat.It'sanotherpatterninterruptaswe'repracticingitinourdaytodaylife,andIthinkalotofwomenneedthat.

AndIsaylike,howmanyofus,youknow,somebodybumpsintousinthegrocerystore,andwesaywe'resorry?Andtheseareways.It'slike,no,okay.Takingthatrightaccountabilityisalotofwomenweretrainedtobethesepeoplepleasers,butit'scomingmoretothemidlineandthenwhenwecandothat,itpullsusoutofvictimconsciousness,ormartyrdomoranythingwherewefeelsorryforourselvesinsteadofcompassion.They'recompletelydifferentenergy.Andthenfromthere,werelease,wesomaticallyreleasetrappednegativeemotionsfromthebody.BecauseIthinkyouhavetodoitsomatically,whichisreleasingthemfromthebodyversustalkingaboutthemwithmind.Andsowhenyoucandothat,thenyou'rereallyreadytomoveintoforgiveness.True,authentic,realforgivenessandthat'swhenyoucanafterthat,claimyourpowerandrevolveyourstoryandreallykindofsupplanttheseempoweringbeliefs,andhaveanewfuturegoingforward.

Katie:Oh,echoyourrecommendationof"TheFourAgreements".Ithinkit'ssogood.Andweactuallyhave"TheFourAgreements"themselveswrittenoutinourhouse,anditissomethingwetalkedthroughwithourkidswhenthey'reupsetorourselveswhenasourparentswereupset.AndIlovethatyoukeepgoingbacktoresilient.Ithinkthat'ssokeyintoday'sworldwherewecanconstantly,likethere'ssomanytriggersinoursociety,thingswemightnotagreewithorthatcanbeupsettingorjuststressfulandeverythinginthenewsisalwaysstressful.Andgettingtoaplacewherewe'renotjustatthemercyoftheinputsthatweareconstantlyexposedtobutwecanchooseourresponse,whichIthinkisverymuchanexpressionoffreedomtobeabletogettothatpointwherewegettochoosehowwerespondinthosesituationsandnowthatyougettoforgiveness,too,istheultimatething.ThatwassomethingformeasanadultthatIhadtoworkthroughbecauseofsomepastexperiencesthatwerereallydifficult.AndIwantedtoholdontothatangerandjustthatgrudgeforsolong.AnditwasnotuntilIrealized,nottostepthroughthatforgivenessbutIrealizedhow

Katie:Absolutely.AndthatwasoneofthereasonsIwassoexcitedtohaveyouontodayandchatwithyoubecauseIthinkthat,likeIsaid,Ithinkwecanlearnsomethingfromalmostanysituation,anymodality,anyteacher,butIalsothinkthatoftenthere'slikeanincompletepictureandespeciallyforwomenandespeciallyanyonewhohasanykindoftrauma.Evennothavetobe,youknow,veryextremetrauma,butjustthesechildhoodtraumaslikeyoumentionedinthebeginningorbeliefsthatwerenotenough.AndsoI'veseensomanyprogramsthatarebrilliantandtheyfocusonthephysicalbuttheydon'tgetintouchwiththeemotionalwhichissoimportant,ortherapistandpeoplewhodelveintotheemotionalbutthenthey'renotreallytappingintothefactthatwestillactuallyneedtonourishourbody,especiallyifwe'regoingthroughemotionalprocess,whichisanincreasedphysicaldemandaswell.
