Epilepsy is a
seizure disorder
that affects cer-
tain parts of the
brain. Many peo-
ple only think of
having a seizure
as convulsing and
violently shaking,
but in reality
there are many
different types of

Doctors may also try to
find the type of seizure
that one can be experienc-
ing.
To be diagnosed one
has to go through multiple
tests. Doctors may recom-
mend a patient to wear an
EEG recorder for a certain
time period or stay in a
special hospital where the
brain can be monitored
known as a video EEG.
There may be other tests
done on the body to diag-
nose epilepsy. Some tests
include a spinal tap, blood
sugar tests, and tests done

Some epileptics may
experience sensations
like tingling or smell-

zures there are differ-
ent types of symp-
toms for each. Some
