The FBM KLCI index lost 4.97 points or 0.30% on Friday. The Finance Index fell 0.13% t

14248.32 points, the Properties Index dropped 0.48% to 1148.52 points and the Plantatio

Index down 0.71% to 7462.65 points. The market traded within a range of 8.16 points be

tween an intra-day high of 1636.95 and a low of 1628.79 during the session.

Actively traded stocks include MULPHA-OR, AAX, AAX-WA, XOX, VIVOCOM-WB, INIX, VIVO

COM, KANGER-WA, AIRASIA and COMPUGT. Trading volume increased to 1712.03 m

shares worth RM1638.87 mil as compared to Thursday’s 1393.46 mil shares wort

RM1804.87 mil.

Leading Movers were UMW (+22 sen to RM5.70), SKPETRO (+2 sen to RM1.62), PETGA

(+16 sen to RM21.46), MISC (+5 sen to RM7.45) and PETCHEM (+4 sen to RM6.40). Laggin

Movers were BAT (-170 sen to RM49.60), DIGI (-12 sen to RM4.45), IOICORP (-8 sen t

RM4.18), KLCC (-12 sen to RM7.24) and GENTING (-14 sen to RM8.51). Market breadt

was negative with 365 gainers as compared to 408 losers.

The KLCI ended the week on a negative note, closed lower at 1628.79 points amid over

night losses in Wall Street. Market breadth was negative as investors were cautious on ab

sence of fresh positive leads.
