Lorna Condon, senior curator for libraries and archives at Historic NewEngland, will give an illustrated talk, Ephemera Defined: FeaturingTreasures from the Ephemera Collection at Historic New England,on July 11 at 7 p.m. at the Portsmouth Athenaeum.

The lecture will be held in the third-floor research library, 9 MarketSquare, and is free and open to the public. Reservations are suggested. Callthe Portsmouth Athenaeum at 603-431-2538.

This will be the final lecture in conjunction with the Athenaeum exhibit"Ephemera: the Art of Everyday Printed Matter, which is openTuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, 1-4 p.m. The free exhibit will rununtil Sept. 15.
