Source: EOS
•„Instead of 2,5 jobs per week we‘re now able to build 4“ (P730)
•„The system is now really fast“ (P390)
•„The unification of exposure parameters helps a lot. Parameter pre-sets work perfectly as they should.“
•„Due to the finer layer the surface quality of P730 parts is better“
•„The system works stable and relyable“

Big tasks – How to let them become real?
Continous development is the key
— This vision can become real by powerfull database and software colaboration. The basis was set by PSW 3.3 and the Reporting Database
— Sufficient understanding of relations between a parameter change and the resulting effect. Continous fundamental research happens at EOS since the beginning of laser- sintering
— Findings trough fundamental research have to be followed by implementation and development of relevant sensors into the machine hardware
— Software development has to process the sensoric data and program countermeasures
— Tolerance bands have to be defined through extensive testing and verification
— Development has to be crosschecked with customer requirements when defining mile stones

Further Improvement of quality
— Powder tracking – Knowing anytime what material was used to generate a part out of
— statisical analysis of relevant data collected by the Reporting Database
— Graphical processing of those Datas (diagrams) where useful
— Online laser power tracking – Failures are detected during the process not during use
