Looking for students interested in volunteering with outreach education on conservation in
Putnam County, Indiana. Topics include: water quality, invasive species, land management,
soil health, and pollinators. The majority of the work would be at schools, but could be at the
public libraries, farmer's markets and various other localities in Putnam County. Volunteers
should be willing to work with K-12, and pass background check if working in schools. Training

Seeking students who want to be change makers to join the #PutaPriceonIt campaign and
activate young people on climate change. With support from CCE staff and higher ed allies,
interns and fellows educate about carbon pricing, and organize peers and leaders in higher
education in supporting climate solutions in Congress. Those who apply by May 15 will start part
time this June, and launch their campaign in the Fall.
2018 Earth Corps Field Studies Course - NEW

Doris Duke Conservation Scholars Program
Every March UC Santa Cruz selects 20 early-undergraduate Scholars from around the country
to participate in a two-year conservation mentorship program centered on the summers
between academic years. The program has chosen to focus its efforts on serving college
freshmen, sophomores, and juniors with two years of college left at a stage when we can
support their undergraduate careers and their choices as they graduate. EF Joevita Weah ‘20
has accepted the Doris Duke Conservation Scholarship with UC Santa Cruz for the upcoming
two summers.
Doris Duke Conservation Scholarships are also open annually at University of Washington,
Michigan University, Northern Arizona University, and University of Florida.
Marine and Estuarine Sciences (REU)
The Research Experiences for Undergraduates (REU) at the University of Maryland Eastern
Shore offers a paid, ten-week summer internship to undergraduates interested in marine and
