    Description

    Requires a 7.5% of the conveyance tax revenues collected each

    fiscal year to be paid into the Kahoolawe rehabilitation trust fundfor the long-term rehabilitation and maintenance of the

    Kahoolawe island reserve.

    Provides alternative civil enforcement options that may be utilized

    by the Board of Land and Natural Resources in the processing of

    natural and cultural resource violation cases.

    Clarifies conditions that must be met by applicants to receive funds

    under the Forest Stewardship Program.

    Changes the amount of the tax that shall be deposited into the

    Environmental Response Revolving Fund from five cents on each

    barrel to fifteen cents on each barrel to support environmental

    activities and programs.

    Provides alternative civil enforcement options that may be utilized

    by the Board of Land and Natural Resources in the processing of

    natural and cultural resource violation cases.

    Clarifies conditions that must be met by applicants to receive funds

    under the Forest Stewardship Program.

    Changes the amount of the tax that shall be deposited into the

    Environmental Response Revolving Fund from five cents on each

    barrel to fifteen cents on each barrel to support environmental

    activities and programs.

    Establishes a game commission to serve in an advisory capacity to

    the governor and the BLNR. Makes an appropriation.commission of the offense. Provides exemptions from the offense

    for certain persons eradicating or culling wildlife if retrieval of thedead or injured wildlife is unsafe. Requires DLNR to provide

    public notice prior to authorizing the eradication or culling of

    wildlife.
