(Bradenton, Jacksonville, Tallahassee)Cover: For millions of years, Antarctica has been encased in a gigan-tic sheet of ice. The cover photo, taken in 1995, shows an iceberg that is a small part of the Antarctic ice sheet. Recent analysis of the Gravity Recovery and Climate Experiment (GRACE) satellite data indicate that the Antarctic ice sheet might have lost enough mass to cause the worlds’ oceans to rise about .05 inches, on the average, between 2002 and 2005.
