The earth’s natural resources are finite, which means that if we use them continuously, we will eventually exhaust them. This basic observation is undeniable. But another way of looking at the issue is far more relevant to assessing people’s well-being. Our exhaustible and unreproducible natural resources, if measured in terms of their prospective contribution to human welfare, can actually increase year after year, perhaps never coming anywhere near exhaustion. So basically my idea of effectively using natural resources along with capital and finance is to build a sustainable smart town. Since we already know that innovation increases the productivity of natural resources so why not completely come up with an innovate idea that will help the condition of people as well the earth. So basically my idea or concept is to create to create a sustainable smart town where making the most of the blessings of nature as well as promoting local production for local consumption. in this project a new concept will be adopted to build the town by designing spaces with a primary focus on services based on people's lifestyles and creating an optimal smart infrastructure. The five categories for smart lifestyles such as energy, mobility, security, healthcare and community, I will majorly focus how energy and capital will be effectively used for the development of this sustainable smart town. With bringing energy to life for residents as the town concept, the services that will be provided will definitely enhance people's lives with photovoltaic power, security, mobility and healthcare. A new scheme will be put in place to enable the town to continually evolve by supporting the development of a community that can create new value in daily life. Firstly we will have to look for about a land in which at least 1000 households can be built. For this a disused factory site can be utilized for a purpose built green city. about 19 hectares of land will be required. Every detached house in this town will be equipped with a solar power generation system and storage batteries. Devices for managing power consumption by home appliances will be integrated into a home energy management system. This will be a house that is comfortable and eco-friendly to live in and enables optimal control of household energy consumption while utilizing electricity generated from sunlight. The option given to the customers will that of all electric and fuel cell type homes according to which type best meets their particular lifestyle energy needs. Since Panasonic makes appliances and gadgets that can be used for these kind of smart towns. For eg : Fujisawa in Japan is a smart sustainable town and all its appliances and gadgets are made by Panasonic amd its partners. There are household fuel cells, lithium-ion household battery units to store the energy generated by solar panels, tablets with software that tracks electricity production and sales to the grid operator, smartphon controlled air conditioners and all LED lighting. All these types of gadgets which are build by them for Fujisawa town are proving to be extremely useful for sustainable use of natural resources. The aim is to create an active town, even for the people without their own cars, an eco town even for the people with their cars. The town will offer entirely new mobility services for all residents with and without their own cars. it will include sharing services for electric vehicles, EV bikes and electric assisted bicycles as well as home delivered rental cars and battery stations for renting rechargeable batteries. These kind of mobility innovation will benefit the residents, the environment and the regional community. gadgets will be expensive but funds can be available through various means. For actually building this kind of sustainable town the amount that will be required is more than US S510 million dollar plus. According to the another smart town which is already made it is proved that over the total life course of the house, the cost is a bit lower than average. Information about changing technology is very important according to me. Once you are updated with all trends and environmental issues and especially for this kind of a sustainable town it becomes very important to have knowledge about what kind of environment issue the city is facing so accordingly other things can be planned out. This project explains that how natural resources, capital and information can be used effectively. How effectively natural resources can be utilized that I have already mentioned above and also how important is to have proper knowledge about it. As far as capital is concerned that is also effectively utilized. Since this assignment was just hypothetical actual amount of expenditures, rental cars etc cannot be explained but to explain how capital can be effectively utilized I am giving example of Fujisawa town. It is reported that the town is surprisingly affordable for buyers. In that town an average standard house equipped with two air conditioners, a 55 inch smart tv, a 4.8k solar panel and a 4.65kwh lithium storage battery to bank unused energy and priced between 50-60 million yen whereas the houses are of virtually the same price levels without eco friendly and smart features in adjacent areas of that city. Therefore this means that capital is also be effectively managed.

CONCLUSION:

The idea about the concept of sustainable smart town is taken by Fujisawa town which is in Japan. I thought that it would be appropriate to explain about it because it is a classic example of sustainable use of natural resources as well as capital. As innovative as the smart town may sound it will be seen only if it will catch on. If it does then there is a great chance of different facets of energy field. Other countries like China have already started accumulating funds for a dozen of sustainable towns like this one and have included in their five year plan too. So, it is high time that people start realizing the importance of natural resources and make optimum use of it.
