MISSION

We are inspired by your mission. New places facilitate what you do and convey your aspirations. We begin our work by seeking to understand your guiding principles and finding ways to foster them in both the process and the resultant “bricks and mortar.”

Where are we going and how will we know when we get there?

Page 5: Environetics | Higher Education

PROCESS

The administrators, staff and faculty we work with are extraordinarily busy. One of the most important roles we can play is to facilitate collaboration in a way that respects the realities of your everyday operations.

We employ a disciplined process of planning and design that is organized and purposeful. It empowers stakeholders to contribute to the solution and recognizes the unique expertise of each participant. Our process can include visioning, shadowing, integrated design sessions, simulation computer modeling and even full scale mockups. We employ principles of Lean Process Improvement and seek opportunities to employ Evidence Based Design.

The journey should be as gratifying as the arrival.

SERVICE

Our commitment to service starts at the top with Principals from all disciplines enjoying an every-day involvement in projects. Our approach to quality is founded on establishing clear lines of responsibility and communication within our team and with you. Responsiveness, whether it’s returning a call immediately or explaining tough information, is fundamental to the process and to the quality of the outcome.

Service is understanding your priorities and being accountable.

INNOVATION

The commitment to building new or renovating, is an opportunity to re-evaluate the norm. This is the perfect catalyst for the organization to implement quality improvement. As we work with you through the pre-design stages of planning, we i dentify current practices that are important for continued success, but we also look to see where change will elevate the enterprise. Moving out of the comfort zone of familiarity requires innovative thinking that will truly make a difference in the life of the community.

Innovation is what leads us to higher ground.

OUTCOMESDesigning Environments that Work.

We pride ourselves in strong project performance: measures like budget, schedule and change-orders. But, perhaps even more importantly, we seek to identify and perform to mission-oriented measures: things like faculty class-room requests, library visits, demand for services, student and prospective student survey responses and funding.

Page 15: Environetics | Higher Education
Page 16: Environetics | Higher Education

“In the process, it is fair to say that no one had a monopoly on ideas. They came from all sources: architect, builder, cabinet maker, sculptor, librarians, and other College people…Responsibilities did not get blurred, but our roles seemed to blend as we became a like-minded team of dreamers and doers…The architect could have built a monument mainly for his reputation but he built for Muhlenberg instead.”
