Introducing
Transactional Registrations Access to Registration Services for non- EIDR Members
• TRB will be the “Go-Daddy” for EIDR. • Individual one-off registrations are $32. Progressive discounts are
available for bulk, pre-paid registration packages. • Transactional (i.e. individual) registrations will be reviewed by TRB
personnel before submission to EIDR to help preserve data quality. • Friendly, intuitive interface
– Displays title “families” while searching and editing
– Redundant “inherited” metadata may be concealed while reviewing
– Immediate validation of list items
– Guidance (and friendly terminology) explaining fields and values
• TRB will be the registrar of records for transactional titles.
Title Management Web Application Allows the creation and update of EIDR content records
TRB Title Manager Features and technical details
• GUI easily translated to additional languages. – UI fields, terminology, and help are all in the native language
• Accommodates language variants (such as US and UK English, or Castilian and Mexican Spanish) • Initial launch is English-only • Japanese and Spanish planned for 2014
– Will expand the reach and scope of EIDR registration. • A full, synchronous copy of the EIDR registry is maintained for
speed and feature integration. • A go-forward version history of each title will be maintained
(allowing change detection and review).
Other Registration Bureau Services Title Matching, Cleansing, Integration
• TRB has developed a set of programs and APIs to: – Match two title lists against one another
• Fuzzy criteria – titles can be matched even when the actual title is substantially different (or attributes are missing, or partially incorrect) using additional metadata.
• Score-based approach. • By experience, about 20 – 25% of titles can be accurately matched
entirely automatically. • Fast, simple UI allows “edge cases” to be quickly and accurately reviewed
by hand, averaging 7 – 9 seconds per title. • Missing and incorrect metadata can be edited on the fly, before re-
integrating with the master list. • Data issues can be noted as encountered, for later correction.

– Quickly look up titles, title families, and metadata (API) • Easy JSON interface • Catalog maintained in sync with Registry • Can query for titles changed after a particular date • API available by subscription
– Title change watching and notification service • Notification of title edits for titles of interest (or their descendants) • Titles of interest can be individually or categorically specified (e.g. by
producer, registrant, or ACL party). • Notifications can be instant (the moment an update takes place), or in
weekly or monthly digests • Notifications can be via text or CSV emails.
