Charter Scope Kurtis Danka Changed wording from DAS Director to State CIO, Alex Pettit. Do we want to change name to OSCIO Technology Services since our scope is not just ETS anymore? Took out references to entrepreneurial management.

What is the right balance of subjects to discuss going forward? It’s not just about what CUB members need, but more about what OSCIO needs from us. We should be communicating to other agencies about what is happening in OSCIO.

Alex feels like OSCIO would benefit from a decision making body, not just make recommendations, but actually make decisions.

This group in the past has owned its recommendations especially around security. Which group do we take issues to? There are several IT groups, what are they and

OSCIO is working on a communication to go out to the agencies and will add a piece to recommend not signing more than a 2 year contract for CSP. Also would be helpful for DOJ contracts unit to be made aware as well.

Data Center Power Sandy Wheeler/Tony Black Power for the 2nd half of the Data Center. We went before the Ways & Means committee for the second time. They seemed very receptive. LFO is recommending $11M for this purpose. Is co-location something we will offer and under what circumstances? The service offering has to be so good that people will want it. How do we switch from Managed services to Co-Location? Have several calls set up to speak with other states about lessons learned in moving from managed services to co-location.

Can an adjustment be made in rates because of more usage before the end of session or wait until February session? Action: go back to your agency and find out if your current usage is going to cause a shortage in your budget for 17-19.
