This sturdy universal locking tablet mount is ideal for commercial or enterprise vehicle installations or location-based point-of-sale (POS) operations where keeping your tablet secure is essential. The 4-Hole AMPS mount drill base can be screwed or drilled into any flat surface (screws not included) such as a dashboard, console, or countertop, and features a key lock (keys included) that keeps the tablet securely in place but can be removed if needed. The mount includes multiple horizontal and vertical adjustment points along both sides of the holder, making it compatible with 7”-10” screen size tablets, even those with protective cases.

FMCSA Compliance for Commercial DriversStarting December 18, 2017, the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (MFCSA) requires use of an electronic logging device (ELD) for commercial drivers who are required to prepare hours-of-service (HOS) records of duty status (RODS). An ELD automatically records the following data elements at certain intervals: date, time, location information, engine hours, vehicle miles, and identification information for the driver, authenticated user, vehicle, and motor carrier.

A driver may use a portable ELD, including a smartphone or other wireless device if the device meets the ELD rule’s technical specifications. A portable ELD must be mounted in a fixed position during commercial motor vehicle (CMV) operation and visible to the driver from a normal seated driving position.
