Uppsala Cathedral 1509

What would you do if Gustav Vasa asked a favour of you?

Uppsala Cathedral is the largest in the Nordic countries. It dates to the 13th century and was

designed in the French Gothic style. Following the Protestant Reformation, it was used for coronations of Swedish monarchs for a lengthy period of time. The cathedral now houses the tombs of several influential historical figures, including Gustav Vasa, John III, Carl Linnaeus, Olaus Rudbeck, and Emanuel Swedenborg. Here is also the Finsta chancel, where the family of St Bridget is buried.
