Congratulations on your acceptance to St. Mary Academy - Bay View's Lower School! Bay View has been providing an all-girls education inspired by Catherine McAuley since 1874 and you have the honor of carrying on that tradition. Our commitment to empowering our students to be confident, compassionate, independent and socially conscious young girls is rooted in the Gospel and exemplified through the Catholic faith and the Mercy charism. I look forward to the gifts and talents that you will share with all of us. I am also anticipating you being a part of the Bay View community. Whether you are a scientist, artist, writer, mathematician, musician, or dancer, there is a place for you here at Bay View! Whatever you choose to do, your passion will be embraced by all. As a Bay View girl, you will know that your choices identify your beliefs and that making informed decisions is essential as you assume your role as a global citizen. You will honor the Sisters of Mercy affiliation by living the practice of Mercy and compassion while expressing your beliefs through worship, prayer and service. Regardless of how you contribute to Bay View, we know that you will be part of the fun! The year starts off with Spirit Week, Mercy Day celebration, and many fun fall field trips. The annual Halloween Party is always a fun tradition and Field Day features competitions, wearing your class color, and is just a wonderful day with friends. We are sure that you will become a part of our spirited, high-energy community of students and feel right at home as a Bay View Bengal. I look forward to meeting with you and your parents in the coming weeks. Be sure to visit the Donnelly’s website and review the uniform options and mark your calendar for the March 3rd Accepted Students Day.
