Charge the light with the switch up (On) if you want the light to turn on when the power is out. Charge the light with the switch down (Off) if you do not want to use this feature. The red LED below the switch will turn ON when it is receiving AC power. It does not turn off or blink when charging is complete. To charge light, slide out prongs and ensure they have locked into place before inserting into outlet (fig. A), plug into outlet (fig. B). Red light indicates charging. Light may be plugged into the outlet indefinitely without harm.
