Park Perimeter 4.6 mile or two hour circular walk with some steep slopes. Accessible for wheelchair and buggy users. Additional Information Assistance dogs are welcome inside and out. The route around the Queen pool (approx. 2km) and the park (approx. 8km) is continuous tarmac or gravelled paths, and has steep inclines. The Family Pleasure Gardens has a separate car park. It is approx 15 minutes walk from Palace on tarmac. The Butterfly House has a narrow entrance that may not accommodate all wheelchairs. The Marlborough Maze is not recommended for wheelchair users. The Miniature train running to Family Pleasure Gardens is not suitable for Mobility Scooters, however the train can take one wheelchair per trip. The Water Terrace Gardens are accessible via the Water Terrace Cafe. Wheelchairs and scooters visiting the rest of the gardens should access via the Fisherman’s Gate. Directions and code for the gate can be obtained from a member of staff. Distances from Fisherman’s Gate: Secret Garden approx.500m; Rose Garden approx. 400m; The Cascade approx 800m. Visitors to the Cascade are advised NOT to proceed past the Boat-House as this path is steep, the route via the Rose Garden on the is advised. Visitors with disabilities are always welcome to Blenheim Palace. Access to the Palace Entrance is approximately 150 meters via the courtyards, which has level gravelled surface. There are 22 steps up to the Main Palace Entrance.

The Untold Story Exhibition (on the upper floor of the Palace) has 69 steps up and 73 down with no step free access. We have a short film that is about the experiences showing on a 20 minute loop. This is situated in the Stables courtyard area.

The weight limit for Palace lift 300kg. This lift is operated by a member of staff. Situated on the west side of the Palace, next to the Chapel.

The upstairs and Duke’s private Apartment Tours regrettably does not have step free access. There is step free access to the Downstairs tour which is accessed via the West side of the Palace.
