Penang Street ArtFor culture lovers and lenses

enthusiasts, the Penang Arts Street located at the heart of the city is a

must place to be explored. The best way to uncover its pleasure of

contemporary street murals is by venturing along Lebuh Armenian

and Jalan Penang by either walking or taking a trishaw ride. Cost free and relaxing, this place is one of

the top picks in Penang.

Page 9: English Module 1

Dear Azmin, I would like you to join me visit the Penang Street Art in this coming October. It is located at the city centre and we can explore the place on foot or by taking a trishaw ride. Since we enjoy photo taking, I think the former would be more fun for us. Besides, everyone knows how much we love street arts so this place is a must visited place for street arts enthusiasts like us! Furthermore, there’ll also be an international murals exhibition at Jalan Penang. I’m sure you’ll like it, as it is free. It’d be lovely to have you join the trip. Hope to hear from you soon.Bye.

Yours truly,Eizham

I like Fogg because he is brave. For example, on the way to Allahabad, suddenly Fogg and his companion meet a group of bandits who has kidnapped the daughter of a wealthy merchant. Phileas Fogg is indeed a brave man to save someone from harm even he does not know who she is before he attempts the rescue. His bravery is paid off when finally Auoda is saved.

Quality : braveTextual evidence : Saving Auoda from the bandits

Page 21: English Module 1

I also like Fogg because he is caring. Fogg portrays his caring side when he is willing to make sure Aouda is safe by taking her along throughout the journey. Once again, Fogg proves that he is a caring person when he gives 5000 pounds to the soldiers as a reward to help him rescue his butler, Passepartout from the outlaws. These two incidents show Fogg’s great concern towards Auoda and Passepartout.

Quality : caringTextual evidence : Cares for Auoda and Passerpatout

Characteristic given :BRAVE

Textual evidence : 1. Accepting the wager2. Saving Auoda from the bandits

Page 27: English Module 1

Fogg shows his bravery in accepting the wager during a card-playing session at a Reform Club. He bravely starts his journey around the world, although back then, this would have been near to impossible, for they did not have the technology we have today. Fogg is also courageous in facing many challenges and difficuties during the 80 days journey but his bravery is paid off when he finally wins the bet.

Page 28: English Module 1

Fogg is a brave man when he saves Auoda from the bandits. This happens on the way to Allahabad, when suddenly Fogg and his companion meet a group of bandits who has kidnapped the daughter of a wealthy merchant. Phileas Fogg braves himself to save someone from harm even he does not know who she is before he attempts the rescue. His bravery is paid off when finally Auoda is saved.

Page 29: English Module 1

Based on the evidence given above, Fogg is indeed a very brave person and this is one of the qualities that everyone should have.
