Hiking, biking, city trip, with the family or in a group: Flair Hotels have local pe-culiarities and are proud of their regional rootedness. Hence each hotel bears its own signature - and guests get to feel that most agreeably.

The small town of Roth-enburg ob der Tauber is the pinnacle of German Middle Ages romanti-cism. As the point of departure for a broad range of activities and comfortably accessible from a host of Flair Ho-

tels , Rothenburg is a very good example of what the essence is of the Flair Hotels. To be at home in the regions means that our hotels are located exactly in the places in which you'll have adventures!

The Shoemaker City of Preetz with its abbey; Eutin, the City of Roses; or Plön with a pictur-esque lake and adjacent castle are all rewarding excursion destinations if you intend to take a holiday in Holstein Switzer-land. The Flair Hotel Neeth and the Flair Hotel Zur Mühle am See lure guests to this mellow landscape. And Lübeck, the Marzipan and Bud-

denbrooks City, is a rewarding destination for a city trip.

If you like it somewhat more urbane, you should check in to the Flair Hotel Riehmers Hofgarten. Situ-ated between Gendarmen-markt, the Brandenburg Gate and the Kurfürsten-damm, the hotel is an ideal point of departure for getting to know the pulsating and exciting metropolis of Berlin. Alexanderplatz with its television tower, Checkpoint Charlie, the Museum Island, the government district with the Reichstag and Pots-damer Platz are only a few of many, many wonderful sightseeing

attractions. In order to get a taste of the real "Berlin feel-ing," you should also visit the districts of Prenzlauer Berg and Friedrichshain. Cafés, pubs and galleries compete with one another for visitors. Cin-emas, concerts, theatres and the opera are all of premium

quality, attracting Berlin visitors night after night … The winegrowing

area of Saale-Unstrut, situ-ated between Halle/Saale

and Jena, is a region unknown to many. It might ring a bell though, when they hear it's the place of origin of the renowned Rotkäppchen champagne. And many of us have heard of the sky disc of Nebra, mankind's oldest precise presentation of the

sky on a bronze disc.

The Flair Berghotel Wilhelms-burg and the Flair Hotel Villa Ilske are located in this region. Both hotels are ideal starting points for extensive hiking, biking and boating tours as well as city tours to Weimar, Leipzig and Jena. They offer excellent regional wines, and

1st day of the tour in Untergriesbach: They await you in the Flair Aktiv Hotel

Obermüller with a welcome drink, an evening dinner with spelt-wheat beer and a special beer liqueur.

On the 2nd day we recommend an excur-sion to the Three-Rivers City of Passau, just 25 kilometres away. What about a sightseeing tour through the city followed by a trip up the river?

3rd day: The 222 kilometres from Unter-griesbach to Sulzbach-Rosenberg run through magnificent natural landscape. Arriving at the Flair Hotel Brauerei-Gasthof Sperberbräu, you can look forward to a brewery tour, including an appropriate 3-course beer meal and a small gift as a souvenir.

On the 4th day, the journey takes you from Sulzbach-Rosenberg to Kulmbach, approxi-mately 100 kilometres northward. Don't miss the Pottenstein Teufelshöhle (Devil's Cave) along the way! In the meantime, the Flair Hotel Dobrachtal has already prepared something for you: Two overnight stays plus breakfast, a 3-course dinner in the evening, an admission ticket to the Brewery Museum and a beer stein as a souvenir are included!

The 5th day, you'll spend in and around Kulm-bach: discover the Brewery Museum and the Wagner festival city of Bayreuth. You'll spend

another night in the comfortable Flair Hotel Dobrachtal. It's about 90 kilometres from Kulm-bach to Saalfeld on the 6th day. The Rosenberg Fortress, Mantelburg and Heidecksburg Castle await your discovery. In the Flair-Waldhotel Mellestollen, you'll enjoy a welcome beer from the region and, if you want, a tour through the Watzdorfer Adventure Brewery. On the 7th day, at the Flair Waldhotel Linz-mühle in Kahla about 50 kilometres away, you absolutely ought to go on a little detour to the Goethe city of Weimar, before enjoying a 3-course dinner in the evening. The entrance fee to the Leuchtenburg Museum in Seiten- roda is included in the package! 8th day: You'll embark on your return trip full of new impres-sions from four regions with flair. Information

“I want to visit the cowboys and Indians!" Five-year old Kilian is a great fan of the Karl May Festival, which takes place in Bad Segeberg every year. A good thing that the Flair Landho-tel Strengliner Mühle is only twenty minutes away from Winnetou and Co. Mama and Papa, in turn, look forward to the wellness facilities in the hotel and the 15 golf courses in the vicin-ity. And are more than happy to spend their holiday here.

In the Flair Hotel Landgasthof Roger in the Heilbronner Land region, you simply book the excursions to children's attractions along with your reservation. You don't necessarily need mountains for hiking. You'll realize that in

Horumersiel, for example. Because the highest elevations here are the waves made of sand in the mudflats, which start directly opposite the Flair Hotel Bendiks.

On a guided tour, you will discover a diversity of life forms in the mudflats. And you are get-

ting very good exercise while doing

so. Since walking across the mudflats is fairly strenuous,

although you don't ascend to any high

altitudes. Instead, you lean into the wind,

stomp through the

mud, search for buried shore crabs and fish out the brown shrimps from the tidal creeks.

And then there's the salty air! You'll fall into your bed happy but exhausted at the "Bendiks", delighting in the quiet location of the Flair Hotel. If you're still a bit flattened out next day, watching the surroundings while sitting comfortably on the roof terrace might be the just the thing! What a panorama!

It's an entirely different matter with the Brenta Dolomites, where you can "do some proper hiking through the mountains." Or mountain climbing. The neigh-bourhood of the Flair Hotel Opinione is crossed by a hiking trail network 560 kilometres long, of which 30 percent are fixed rope routes! The Flair Hotel itself is located in San Lorenzo di Banale, 750 metres above sea level. Naturally, its proprietor Paolo Baldessari has a recommendation up his sleeve that suits both

ginners and those on an intermediate level: "Take the cable car up to the Pradel plateau to get to the Brenta refuge. From here, you follow trail number 340 toward Rifugio Croz dell’ Altissimo. On the narrow path along the steep cliffs, you'll have a brilliant view of the Dolomite Alps. You'll get to the refuge after approximately one hour." And here the fun begins for intermediate-level

mountain climbers. Because

the mountain paths and climb-ing routes lead directly into the heart of the Brenta Dolo-mites. In the meantime, the beginning mountain climber can enjoy the Trentino cuisine in the refuge. Whether flatland or steep mountains: Hiking adventures are guaranteed with the Flair Hotels!

If you'd start your bicycle tour in St. Petersburg, you couldn't miss it: The Flair Hotel Stadt Höxter is located directly on the R1 Europe bicycle path that

runs across 3,500 kilometres up to Boulogne-sur-Mer near Calais. The Bed+Bike hotel has a fairytale-like location in the midst of Höxter with its half-timbered buildings. And it is close to the hilly natural park of Solling-Vogler, which is ideal for mountain bike tours. In contrast to that, you can cycle leisurely and comfortably down along the slow-flowing Weser River. And, for a change, why not also ride uphill without such a huge strain? Ute Sievers from the Flair Hotel Stadt Höxter: "Since June 2011, we have expanded our range of bicycle offers consider-

ably. You can now also rent electric bikes from us." E-bikes, that's like bicycling with a tailwind. Or as if somebody would be gently pushing you up the hill. Perhaps, then, you'll have so much momentum built up you might want to try the other routes as well: The bicycle path network in the Höxter District (follow the RHX signage), the Weser Bicycle Path R99 or the Wellness Bicycle Route. On your way back, you can take the waterway: The "Flotte Weser" passenger ship brings you from Bad Karlshafen or Holzminden back to the hotel.

In the Flair Seehotel Zielow, you are also directly at the waterside. Here you'll have a wonderful, unobstructed view of the Müritz, and the bicycle routes going round the lake are right under your nose.

It's an appealing idea to be so close to the lake the whole way of 88 kilometres, even more so due to the fact that the bicycle path is relatively flat, so there are no major ascents. That's why the Müritz circular path suits families wonderfully.

North of Zielow, you shouldn't let the opportunity pass by of seeing one of the most attractive lakeside prome-nades. The lovingly restored town of Röbel is situated, as

the people around here say, by the "Small Sea."

Tasteful award – the Flair Chef of the year, Mario Holzinger from the Flair-Hotel Hopfengarten

"Darn tooting, we've got it great here all right (Ei sischer, bei unns iss schee)!" At the small but elegant Flair-Hotel Hopfengarten, people are proud of their region. It is located in the picturesque timber-framed town of Miltenberg in the Spessart Forest. In the "Das Holzinger" restaurant, Mario Holzinger is creatively wield-ing the wooden spoon. He often draws on the traditions of the region: "We offer prime boiled beef, sauerbraten, ox cheeks, and fresh fish dishes." That alone would be delicious. But Mario Holzinger also only uses fresh produce from the region and adds a Mediterranean flair to it. Thus his creative culinary treats come into being for which he has been awarded the title "Flair Chef of the Year" in 2013.

The delight in the region can also be seen from the wines on offer. The outstanding Miltenberg wines

are produced at the family-owned Otto Knapp winery and match the "Churfranken"-Mediter-ranean cuisine wonderfully.

The cosiest place to enjoy your meal is the ter-race with its Mediterranean flair in front of the hotel. And after the feast, you should take a stroll through the old town of Miltenberg. The Spessart Forest is well worth the visit - it's simply great.

Recipe from the Flair Hotel Winkler Bräu:Braised Jura Mountain thistle lamb with vegetables from the Knoblauchsland and au gratin potatoes Serves 41.2 kg shoulder of lamb • 100 g root vegetables (celery, leek, onions, carrots) • 5 scallions • 1 clove of garlic • 1 sprig of thyme • salt, pepper • 2 tbs vegetable oil Rub shoulder of lamb with salt and pepper from the mill. Heat vegetable oil in a large pot and roast meat gently until it's a golden brown. Add the diced root vegetables and garlic and fry with the meat. Deglaze with lamb stock, add sprig of thyme, cover and let braise for about 2 hours. Take the soft shoulder of lamb from the pot, strain sauce, pressing out the vegeta-bles thoroughly. Reduce sauce slightly, if needed, and thicken with cold fresh butter. Serve with the au gratin potatoes.

GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR HOTEL ACCOMMODATION CONTRACTS (VERSION: APRIL 2012, IHA)

SCOPE OF APPLICABILITY

These terms and conditions govern contracts for the rental use of hotel rooms for lodging purposes, as well as all other goods and services rendered by the hotel to the customer in this context (Hotel Accommodation Con-tract). The term “Hotel Accommodation Contract” comprises and replaces the following terms: accommodation, lodg-ing, hotel, hotel room contract. The hotel’s prior consent in written form is required if rooms provided are to be sublet or rented to a third party, or used for other than lodging pur-poses, whereby section 540, para. 1, sentence 2 German Civil Code (BGB) is waived insofar as the customer is not a consumer. The customer’s general terms and conditions shall apply only if these are previously expressly agreed.

CONCLUSION OF CONTRACT, PARTIES, STATUTE OF LIMITATIONS

The hotel and the customer are the contracting parties. The contract shall come into force upon the hotel’s ac-ceptance of the customer’s offer. At its discretion, the hotel may confirm the room reservation in written form. Any claims against the hotel shall gen-erally be time-barred one year after the commencement of the general statute of limitations period. Damage claims shall be time-barred after five years, dependent on knowledge thereof, insofar as they are not based on claims arising out of harm inflicted on life, limb, physical health or liberty. These damage claims shall be time-barred after ten years, independent of knowledge thereof. The reduction of the statute of limitation periods shall not apply to claims which are based on an intentional or grossly negligent breach of obligation by the hotel.

SERVICES, PRICES, PAYMENT, SET-OFF

The hotel is obligated to keep the rooms reserved by the customer avail-able and to render the agreed services.The customer is obligated to pay the agreed or applicable hotel prices for rooms provided and for other services accepted. This also applies to services ordered by the customer directly or via the hotel, which a third party provides and the hotel disburses. The agreed prices include all taxes and local taxes

in effect at the time of the conclu-sion of contract. This does not include locally levied taxes, which are owed by the guest himself according to the par-ticular municipal law, such as visitor’s tax. If the statutory value added tax is changed or if local taxes concern-ing the rooms and services are newly introduced, changed or abolished after these have been contractually agreed upon, the prices will be adjusted. This only applies to contracts concluded with consumers, if four months have passed between the conclusion and fulfilment of the contract. The hotel can make its consent to the customer’s later request for a reduc-tion of the number of reserved rooms, services of the hotel or the customer’s length of stay dependent on the in-crease of the price for the rooms and/or for the other services. Hotel invoices not stating a due date are payable without deduction and due within ten days of receipt of the invoice. The hotel can demand im-mediate payment of due debt from the customer. With default of payment, the hotel shall be entitled to demand the respectively applicable statutory default interest in the amount of cur-rently 8 % or, with legal transactions with a consumer, in the amount of 5 % above the base interest rate. The hotel reserves the right to prove greater damage. The hotel is entitled to require a reasonable advance payment or a se-curity, such as a credit card guarantee, from the customer upon conclusion of the contract. The amount of the advance payment and payment dates may be agreed in written form in the contract. The statutory provisions shall remain unaffected with advance payments or a security for package tours. In justified cases, e.g. the customer’s default in payment or expansion of the scope of the contract, the hotel shall be entitled, also after the conclusion of the contract up to the commence-ment of the stay, to demand an advance payment or a security within the meaning of the above-mentioned No. 3.6 or an increase of the advance payment or a security agreed in the contract up to the total agreed remu-neration. Furthermore, the hotel shall

be entitled, at the commencement and during the customer’s stay, to demand a reasonable advance payment or security deposit within the meaning of the above-mentioned No. 3.6 for existing and future accounts receivable from the contract, insofar as such has not already been paid pursuant to the above-mentioned No. 3.6 and/or No. 3.7. The customer may only set-off, reduce or clear a claim by the hotel with a claim which is undisputed or decided with final, res judicata effect.

WITHDRAWAL OF THE CUSTOMER (CANCELLATION, ANNULMENT)/ FAILURE TO USE HOTEL SERVICES (NO SHOW)

The customer can only withdraw from the contract concluded with the hotel, if a right of withdrawal was explicitly agreed upon in the contract, another statutory right of withdrawal exists or if the hotel gives its explicit consent to the withdrawal. The contractual agree-ment of a right of withdrawal as well as the consent to withdrawal from the contract shall be in written from. Insofar as the hotel and customer have agreed upon a date for a cost-free withdrawal from the contract, the cus-tomer may withdraw from the contract up to that date without incurring pay-ment or damage compensation claims by the hotel.

WITHDRAWAL OF THE HOTEL

Insofar as it was agreed that the cus-tomer can withdraw from the contract at no cost within a certain period of time, the hotel is entitled for its part to withdraw from the contract during this period of time if inquiries from other customers regarding the contractu-ally reserved rooms exist and the customer, upon inquiry thereof by the hotel with a reasonable deadline set, does not waive his right of withdrawal. If an agreed advance payment or an advance payment or a security demanded pursuant to No. 3.6 and/or No. 3.7 is not made even after a rea-sonable grace period set by the hotel-has expired, then the hotel is likewise entitled to withdraw from the contract.Moreover, the hotel is entitled to effect extraordinary withdrawal from the contract for a materially justifiable

cause, in particular if force majeure orother circumstances beyond the hotel’s control render the fulfillment of the contract impossible; rooms or spaces are reserved with culpably misleading or false information or concealment regarding essential facts; the identity or solvency of the customer or the purpose of his stay can constitute es-sential facts; the hotel has justified cause to believe that use of the hotel’s services might jeopardize the smooth operation of the hotel, its security or public reputation, without being attributable to the ho-tel’s sphere of control or organization; the purpose or the cause of the stay is illegal; there is a breach of the above-mentioned No. 1.2. The justified withdrawal by the hotel constitutes no claims for damages for the customer.

ROOM AVAILABILITY, DELIVERY AND RETURN

The customer does not acquire the right to be provided specific rooms insofar as this is not expressly agreed.Reserved rooms are available to the customer starting at 3:00 p.m. on the agreed arrival date. The customer does not have the right to earlier availabil-ity. Rooms must be vacated and made available to the hotel no later than 12:00 noon on the agreed departure date. After that time, on the grounds of the delayed vacating of the room for use exceeding the contractual time, the hotel may charge 50 % of the full accommodation rate (list price) for the additional use of the room until 6:00 p.m. (after 6:00 p.m.: 90 %). Contrac-tual claims of the customer shall not be established hereby. The customer is at liberty to prove that the hotel has no

or a much lower claim for charges for use of the room.

LIABILITY OF THE HOTEL

The hotel is liable for harm inflicted on life, limb and physical health. Further it is liable for other damage caused with full intent or gross negligence or due to intentional or grossly negligent violation of obligations typical for the contract. A breach of obligation of the hotel is deemed to be the equivalent to a breach of a statutory representa-tive or vicarious agent. All other claims for damages are excluded, if not determined differently in this No. 7. Should disruptions or defects in the performance of the hotel occur, the hotel shall act to remedy such upon knowledge thereof or upon objection by the customer made without undue delay. The customer shall be obliged to undertake actions reasonable for him to eliminate the disruption and to keep any possible damage to a minimum.

The hotel is liable to the customer for property brought into the hotel in accordance with the statutory provi-sions. It recommends the use of the hotel or room safe. If the guest wishes to bring with him money, securities, stocks, bonds or valuables with a value of more than 800 EUR or other things with a value of more than 3500 EUR, a separate safekeeping agreement is necessary. Insofar as a parking space is provided to the customer in the hotel garage or a hotel parking lot, this does not constitute a safekeeping agreement, even if a fee is exchanged. The hotel only assumes liability for loss of or damage to motor vehicles parked or manoeuvred on the hotel’s property and the contents thereof only pursuant

to the preceding No. 7.1, sentences 1 to 4. Wake-up calls are carried out by the hotel with the greatest pos-sible diligence. Messages, mail, and merchandise deliveries for guests shall be handled with care. The hotel will deliver, hold, and, for a fee, forward such items (on request). The hotel only assumes liability according to the preceding No. 7, sentences 1 to 4.

FINAL PROVISIONS

Amendments and supplements to the contract, the acceptance of offers or these general terms and condi-tions should be made in written form. Unilateral amendments or supple-ments by the customer are invalid. For commercial transactions the place of performance and payment as well as, in the event of litigation, including dis-putes for checks and bills of exchange, the exclusive court of jurisdiction is at [Bitte Ort eintragen, wahlweise Standort des Hotels oder Sitz der Be-treibergesellschaft]. Insofar as a con-tracting party fulfills the requirements of section 38, para. 2 of the German Code of Civil Procedure (ZPO) and does not have a place of general jurisdiction within the country, the courts at [Bitte Ort eintragen, wahlweise Standort des Hotels oder Sitz der Betreibergesells-chaft] shall have exclusive jurisdiction.

The contract is governed by and shall be construed in accordance with Ger-man law. The application of the UN Convention on the International Sale of Goods and Conflict Law are precluded.

Should individual provisions of these general terms and conditions be or become invalid or void, the validity of the remaining provisions shall remain unaffected thereby. The statutory provisions shall also be applicable.
