Warm up
Today we are going to use pronouns and other nouns to avoid repetition. Repetition is when something that is said or written is used
over and over again, for example:
Gary ate supper when Gary got home. Gary enjoyed the food.
Gary ate his supper when he got home. He enjoyed the food.
After its first use, instead of repeating 'Gary', we could replace further uses with pronouns to avoid repetition, such as:
noun pronoun pronoun alternate noun

How to write an information reportWe can’t just write a report without information and facts. We need to research these and read all about our topic or subject.
Tigers
In Big Game Adventure, there was this small information report. It’s not very detailed. We’re going to use it to help us research and make a more detailed and informative report.
Tigers
Can you think of some headings we could use in our report? An example might be ‘All about tigers’.
List as many headings as you can think of we could write about tigers.
Tigers
Some ideas:• All About Tigers• Tiger Food (What tigers eat and hunt)• Tiger Habitat (Where the tiger is from and lives)• Big Tigers (The size of the tiger and it’s features)
You might have some others. We are going to use these to help us write our report

I am going to use the information on these websites to help me write an information report.
