THE NEGATIVE EFFECTS OF TECHNOLOGY
BY SEZGİN BADAT
Technology is an important factor in daily life. There are new inventions being
created every day, and these inventions change our lives. While some technology is
being created to improve and advance human life, there are a lot of negative effects
from technology. For example, too much access to technology can make people
lazy. For example, they might stop playing sports because they are too busy using
social media. Another exam is watching TV and constantly eating fast food. Studies
have shown this is a common occurrence in North America and had led to an obesity
epidemic.

Military inventions are improving as well. Many countries are advancing their military
technologies. This creates a concern for humanity. Military technology allows countries to
be superior in war. This causes many to worry about the future of the environment and
humanity. Many people don't realize the how technology effects them. Its important for
people to start living a balance life, and only use a healthy dose of technology.
Remember, technology needs to be used responsibility.
CLIMATE CHANGE& GLOBAL WARMING
According to NASA Climate Kids, the average climate all
over earth is called Global Climate. Scientists' are
concerned over the change of the climate, as it is
increasing faster than any other time in Earth's history.
The planet is warming by an average of 1 degree
Celsius throughout the past century. In order to try to
slow down the rapid climate change, there needs to be
an international effort and commitment for this
purpose. If we continue on the path we are on, we will
only speed the climate change.
As the planet continues to warm, climate patterns
change all over the world. The weather has become
extreme and unpredictable, with some places being
hotter, some places being wetter, and some places
being drier. These changes can have drastic impacts on
all life on earth.

A RISE OF 2 DEGREES
According to the 2016 study, Earth
System Dynamics, the rise of 2 degrees
would greatly impact the environment.
- Sea levels will increase up to 50 cm.
- 98% of coral reefs will be at risk of coral
bleaching.
- Heavy rain will intensify by 7%.
- Fresh water will decrease by 17%.
The longer we wait to make the
necessary changes, the more irreversible
damage we will cause.
What can YOU do to SAVE the environment: - Be sustainable
- Do not be wasteful of food
- Reduce waste and recycle
- Switch energy off when not in use
- Purchase environmentally friendly products
- Reduce your carbon footprint
- Instead of driving your own car, take public
transportation or car pool
- Grow your own vegetables and fruits
- Stop using plastic (Such as plastic water bottles and
straws)

SHOULD STUDENTS BEALLOWED TO USE CELLPHONES IN SCHOOL?
Scotland has 421 words for “snow”.
Armadillo shells are bulletproof.
Octopuses lay 56,000 eggs at a time.
No number before 1,000 contains the letter A.
Bees can fly higher than Mount Everest.
Neil Armstrong’s hair was sold in 2004 for
$3,000.
Snakes can help predict earthquakes.
May 29th is officially “Put your pillow in the
fridge” day.
Heart attacks are more likely to happen on a
Monday.
A baby octopus is about the size of a flea when
it is born.
A woman once tried to commit suicide by
jumping off the Empire State building. She
jumped from the 86th floor but was blown back
into the 85th floor by a gust of wind.
The new generation is brought up with an increased
dependency on technology. In my opinion, students
should be allowed to use their cellphones in school. I
believe that this would benefit students because it will help
them during emergencies, as well as enhance their
learning abilities.
Firstly, considering the fact that our world is becoming
more dangerous, students should always have access to
their phones. As long as students use their phones only
when they need to (again, only in the case of an
emergency), students will be always be safer than not
having access to a phone.
Secondly, traditional teaching methods should be left
behind and teachers should adopt new teaching methods.
New modern techniques include technology such as
smart-boards, phones, apps, etc. Cellphones can be used
to help students research topics, take pictures or
participate in online quizzes. People learn better when
they discover their own information. Not only will they
remember more, but it will also be more fun.
In conclusion, when we consider the day and age we will
live, it is necessary for students to use cell phones in
school. Cellphones will help make the environment more
safe as well improve their learning abilities.

VIDEO GAMESBY ÜMİT ACAR
Video games - a controversial topic that a lot of people have different opinions about.
However, I would like to share with you mine. If you want to a play game, you must play this.
You should play PUBG with a phone, it’s 2 GB! This game is very hard. In the game, if you
want to wear clothes, you can wear clothes with money. So, how? First you need to win a
game, then you will earn 800 gold coins. This gold is very valuable. Just one cap is 500 gold.
This is very expensive. If you want to play with your friends. Don’t worry! You can call your
friends to play PUBG. You can play with up to 100 people. So, this is very hard. Before the
game you are going on an island, after that suddenly you are going in a plane. Now the game
started! Relax, it’s just you and your friends, but you should be serious. If you will win, WELL
DONE! And don’t forget, if you want to be a professional gamer. You must join a clan. My
nickname is THE ACAR TR. Maybe we will be friends.
HAVE YOU PLAYED PUBG?

EXTREME SPORTS
“Extreme Sports”... why do we call it Extreme
Sports? Which sports are Extreme Sports?
Firstly, we call specific sports extreme sports
because they are different from other sports.
Extreme sports are more intense, challenging,
dangerous, and risky than other sports. If you

There are many different types of extreme
sports. They include water rafting, hang

Which country has the most powerfularmy in the world? Have you ever thought about this topic orhave your ever wondered about it? Thereare two important power sources in today'sworld, "Money and Military". The richestcountry or the country with the mostpowerful army, which one is stronger? Nowwe are going to discuss one of these twoimportant power sources - the military.
What about the military strength of Turkey? Our country has one of the 10 strongest armiesin the world. According to Global Fight Power,Turkey spent $8.2 billion in the past year on thedefense industry. The defense industry of ourcountry is getting more and more powerfulevery day, so our dependence on foreigncountries is decreasing to defend ourselves. Here are some of our own defense industryproducts: ATAK Helicopter, SOM Missile AltayTank, etc.

MILITARY POWERAre we wasting our money to kill? According to National Priorities, 1.6 Trillion USD is spent onthe total world defense industry in 2015. Trillions of dollarsis spent on the military every year, but what abouthumanitarian aid? For this, in 2016, the world spent 23.7Billion USD on humanitarian aid (Relief Web). Thedifference between the two figures is incredible. Children, men, women, even babies are dying because ofwar but we spend our money to kill more instead of savingor feeding them.
Is the military reallynecessary? This topic is open todiscussion. You may say ofcourse it is necessary, otherwise how can we defendour country? But at least 26countries in the world, haveno army.

Sometimes people have moments where theywant to do something but fail. For
example, every child wants tochange the world, and then he
realizes that the world haschanged him. This can be
sometimes hard to deal with. Butfor me, this was a different
experience.
I want to be an ordinary person. I don’t want people to love me, I justwant them to be just a regular person and respect me. Do I want toomuch? No, I want to do with less. In fact, I don’t want, I just hope.Maybe someone would read this article, and then they can changethemselves. Then they have someone else read this article. Maybe thewhole world will change thanks to this post. When they say, “Some pensare magical.” Mine too. It's magical, but it’s ordinary.
I tried to change the world by myself. Imaginewith my little hands! Then I was disappointedjust like everyone else. I realized it would be
possible to change the world by changingpeople. I’m disappointed again because I
haven’t even been able to change myself yet.You know there is a proverb “The child is the
father of the man.” It is the same on earth likein birds, even ants. Speaking of ants, what dothey dream about it? Do they want to changethe world? There is no need, that’s how theyaccepted each other as they are. Have you
ever heard of Ant Wars? I’ve never heard of it.I don’t think I’ll hear it either. Look, they areworking hard. Maybe they will spend all daycarrying a piece of bread crumb. Have you
ever seen a greedy ant? For example, an antfinishing the meal on the way without moving itinto its nest. We cant even be an ant. We have
always wanted to have more. We want to bedifferent from everybody else. Why? What’s
the point?
When life knocks you down, get on your
back!Because if you can look up, you can get up!
