Engineer’s Aide SiNETprovides sizing and network analysis of fluid flow systems to simulate various operating conditions. Quickly size, design and cost process equipment including pumps, fans, compressors, heat exchangers, flow- meters, control valves, pressure vessels, and storage tanks and then simulate equipment operations in a patented graphical user interface. As the leader in fluid flow simulation for the oil, gas, and chemical industries, Engineer’s Aide software pro- vides un-matched efficiency of data input and system analysis for liquid, gas and 2-phase pipe systems. Included with SiNET is the AIChE DIPPR® Database with nearly 2000 components. Challenging ap- plications are no problem for SiNET including high pressure, supercritical systems such as high pressure ethylene distribution systems as well as non-Newtonian fluid flow analysis. Discov- er how you can effec- tively find root-cause fluid flow problems in process and utility distribution system in your process plant facil- ity that would not be possible with other software tools. If you’re limited for time to analyze a plant-wide utility distribution system (such as cooling water, steam, fuel gas, etc.), EPCON can quickly and accurately provide you with an optimized model of the system to pin-point the problems through our cost-effective EPI Engineer- ing Services. Engineer’s Aide CHEMPROexcels where others fail includ- ing 3-phase flash calculations for challenging aqueous-hydrocar- bon systems. Based on industry standard API thermodynamics and methods, Engineer’s Aide CHEMPRO simulates liquid, gas, and multi-phase piping systems. Included are all of the features of SiNET with links to the API Technical Data Book, the API Equipment Data Sheets, SYSTEM 7 Process Explorer, and DDBSP. CHEMPRO also pro- vides optional process safety solutions with the Pressure Releif Valve Analysis and the Flare Header Backpressure Analysis programs. Engineer’s Aide 8provides process data compatibility with industry stan- dard API Technical Data Book thermodynamics and API Equipment data sheets. Maximize your engineering efficiency with Engineer’s Aide - the leader in pro- cess engineering software. Try-out Engineer’s Aide SiNET & CHEMPRO today with a 30-day trial you can download from our web site at www.epcon.com. (DIPPR is a registered trademark of AIChE and is used by permission) Pressure Relief Valve (PRV) Analysis: Using industry standard API and DIERS methods, the PRV Analysis program streamlines the pressure relief valve calculations of all important scenarios includ- ing various single component failures and plant wide emergencies. It’s comprehensive and rigorous analysis of single and multi-phase pressure drops of the inlet and outlet piping for each pressure relief valve is based on the thermodynamics and flash of the API Tech Data Book. The PRV Analysis program lets the user input equipment data, stream properties, design conditions and project specific fac- tors. Each relieving case may be considered to determine the largest orifice size necessary for pressure protection. Detailed calculations to determine the relieving flow rate & phase condition are provid- ed for Fire, Inadvertent Valve Operation and Ruptured Tube cases. All other cases can be run by specifying flow rate and phase condi- tion or from the phase condition determined by the integrated, rig- orous 3-phase flash engine. Once the PRV calculation is com- pleted, the PRV calcu- lation is documented for future reference and relevant data from the cal- culation is used to automatically create a data sheet. Flare Backpressure Analysis: This program is designed to build a model of a flare header system to calculate backpressures and flow velocities for each identified scenario. Calculated back- pressures are required for the proper sizing of safety relief valves and the selection of the type of relief valve (conventional, balanced bellows or pilot operated). The calculation for gas/vapor flows re- sulting from the blowing of a single relief or de-pressur- ing valve or from the simultaneous blowing of a number of valves is provided. The purpose of the Backpressure Analysis program is to determine or check the size of headers in a flare relief system to insure all credible sce- narios can be accommodated. The graphical user inter- face provides a very fast, convenient and efficient way to diagram complex flare header relief systems. The Tools Pallet always remains above the drawing interface – ready to create nodes and pipes with a single click in the desired direction. A sizeable Zoom Window gives the user precise control of the size and current view of the pipeline system being simulated. Utilize EPI Engineer- ing Services to quickly and efficiently model and opti- mize plant-wide flare and pressure relief valve systems.
