Studying at a small college doesn’t

make our programs small-scale.

in fact, it expands them.

Engineers use their imagination and analytical skills to

invent, design and create things that matter. Do you know

that engineers save more lives than doctors? By dreaming up

creative and practical solutions, engineers are changing the

world every day. Join our community and change the world.

n We take abstract topics from the textbook and turn them into interactive, hands-on lab experiences. It’s “learning by doing” that gives you the analytical and leadership skills that are critical to success in industry or graduate school.

n The Bachelor of Science in engineering science is accredited by ABET. To employers, graduate schools and licensure boards, graduation from an accredited program signifies adequate preparation for entry into the profession. In fact, many of these groups require graduation from an accredited program as a minimum qualification.

n It means working with professors to design solutions to needs at home and in the developing world. This year students designed assistive devices for hospitals in Brazil—and delivered them in person to the patients who will use them.

n We are interdisciplinary, bridging mechanical and electrical engineering. Consider the number of devices with mechanical and electrical components. Artificial hearts, computer hard drives, autonomous wheelchairs. You’ll earn either a B.S. in engineering science or a B.A. in engineering management.

n You will be active contributors to research projects, and all engineering students are required to complete off-campus collaborative experiences.

n Our graduates are doing important work. Graduates are currently working for General Electric, Babcock & Wilcox, Glad Manufacturing, the U.S. Navy, Lawrence Livermore National Lab and the National Ground Intelligence Center. Students have been accepted to graduate programs at Dartmouth, the University of Virginia, Virginia Tech and UC Santa Cruz, to name a few.
