High Definition Laser ScanningWorkstream’s high definition laser scanning service enables collection of complete survey data within tight timeframes - even for relatively complex sites. In fact, this service is proven to reduce on-site and drawing times by as much as 75%. Moreover, using your Internet connection, you can visualise and familiarise yourself with sites surveyed by Workstream’s service without leaving your desk, saving time, money and site disruptions. Other benefits of the service include:

• Less time on site and significantly lower overheads.

• Much faster provision of project results. • Complete data collection virtually eliminates any

possibility of expensive come-backs.

Deliverables include the scan survey itself (with or without drawings) plus 3D models that can be viewed using basic software; an optional fully interactive, 3D picture quality module that can be accessed online; and an optional AutoCAD plug-in that produces accurate 2D or 3D drawings with maximised detail.

We can also deliver data on CD/DVD with visual “walk-through” videos or selective screen captures for more intricate projects.

Survey Control PackagesWhatever its size and scope, virtually every construction project kicks off with the need for precise survey control. Pile Setting OutWorkstream offers piling contractors a fast, virtually foolproof method of locating pile positions on site utilising leading edge computer software and robotic survey equipment to transfer data directly from the design drawing to the instrument. Our engineers process all drawings, extract relevant data and set the points out on your site without the need for any error-prone human calculations at all.

Deliverables include real time monitoring of setting out and As Built reports in hard copy, digital format or both.

Retail SurveysWorkstream provides a range of tried-and-tested, specialist services for retail sector clients who need highly efficient and accurate surveys of new and existing store sites. Our surveyors have unmatched experience in the delivery of topographical and/or measured building surveys in retail environments as well as full internal surveys outlining structural elements, store layout information, and location of different product categories. Topographical SurveysWorkstream’s range of topographical surveys encompasses every requirement from basic outline and grid of levels to a complete record of features such as elevations, sections and services. Whatever the job, our survey teams have the skills, experience and advanced equipment needed to ensure their work is conducted with minimal disruption at the lowest cost, even in hard-to-access areas.


VolumetricsWorkstream’s Volumetrics Service helps minimise the costly import and removal of material from site by enabling you to balance the cut and fill without guesswork and expensive mistakes. Our digital terrain models enable fast and accurate volume calculations, showing original levels, excavated levels and excavated volume, as well as cut-and-fill volumes between comparative models. We also utilise contouring and elevation analysis tools to provide a variety of graphic presentations of cut-and-fill data.

Deliverables comprise all source files, photographs and volume data, as well as drawings and reports in hard copy, digital format or both.

Terrain ModellingWorkstream utilises the world’s most advanced survey equipment and modelling software to create highly accurate 3D terrain models that enable visual interpretation of survey data. The result is greater design precision at lower cost.

Primary & Secondary ControlWorkstream’s Primary & Secondary Control Service makes innovative use of modern instruments, and GPS and Web technology to establish and maintain highly accurate, reliable and trustworthy control for all site setting out work.

Deliverables comprise reports that include descriptions, photographs and drawings of all established control points, with a 2D site map of the control points and values. These are available in hard copy, digital format or both.

CCTV SurveysWorkstream utilises the latest generation of digital inspection systems and custom made mobile survey units to deliver CCTV surveys of pipe and ductwork up to 1500mm in diameter to check for cracks or leakages before and after the works. Our engineers can also provide accurate assessments of the location, condition and connectivity of manholes and chambers. Our reports include details of chamber materials and layout; pipe and chamber sizes; cover and invert levels; and the overall condition of the chamber, steps and benching.

Deliverables include video reports, and drawings and reports in hard copy, digital format or both.

Utility/Underground SurveysAny construction activity will almost certainly require an underground survey to avoid the health and safety risks and financial overhead associated with damage to existing utilities. Workstream’s engineering teams carry out such surveys with minimal disruption, using CAT scanners, infra red cameras, ground penetrating radar (GPR) or radio detection equipment to locate, position and trace all underground services where appropriate. We flag up the positions of all underground services on site with markers and depths, and then plot them on to existing drawings.

Data Processing and CAD BureauWorkstream’s dedicated CAD team employs state-of-the-art technology to produce drawings conforming to your preferred formats, to the correct scale, with a very fast turnaround. This service is particularly helpful in resolving conflicts over boundaries, As Builts, site layout, etc.

Workstream delivers 2D and 3D drawings and reports in hard copy, digital format or both. We can also upload project documentation in PDF and DWG formats to our clients’ own file sharing systems (if required).

These and other site risks need regular, sometimes continuous monitoring.
