ARRAY OVER SIZING AND DAYS OF AUTONOMY

This course will look at the relationship between oversizing the PV array in a standalone power system and the capacity of the battery bank required to service the load when there is no solar generation, better known as days of autonomy. Regulation change in the National Electricity Market (NEM) has been fairly active over the past few years and the Australian Energy Market Commission (AEMC) is looking into another regulation change that could have a huge impact on the way the network operates and how we define SAPS. This course will look at the discussion paper put forward by the AEMC at the end of last year outlining the potential for Network owned and operated SAPS.
