• Rebates✓ Prescriptive rebates for efficiency upgrades

✓ Custom rebates based on calculated savings

• Studies✓ Gas Optimization Studies

✓ Engineering Studies

✓ Retro-Commissioning

• New Construction✓ Prescriptive rebates for efficiency upgrades

✓ Custom rebates based on calculated savings beyond code

✓ Holistic studies with incentives for implementation

Prescriptive Rebates

• Menu of 1-for-1 upgrades with predetermined per unit rebates• Must replace existing equipment and meet specified requirements• Pre-approval required for rebates > $10,000 and all steam trap projects• Rebate may not exceed 100% of total project cost (excluding internal labor)

Boiler Tune-up Requirements

• Pre and post combustion tapes• Final invoice listing

✓ Gas service address✓ Boiler make and model

• Boiler tune-up checklist• Final signed application

Pipe Insulation• Keeps water in your water

pipes warm longer, helping you lower water consumption and energy used by your hot water heater.

• This incentive can be lucrative, and it is one of the most rapid ROIs in the program.

Our experts are here for you!

For a limited time, the Energy Efficiency Program will allow all steam traps to be tested regardless of the trap type. Waived 36-month requirement, any trap tested over 12 months ago qualifies.

• All replacement requirements still apply, including: ✓ The testing rebate will be paid only after a minimum of 50% of the

identified failed open traps are replaced✓ If no failed open traps are identified, the project is ineligible for testing

rebates.• Temporarily waived testing timeline for space heating traps. Previously could

only test between September 15th to March 31st.

Program Basics

Phase 1

Identifying Opportunities

• Pre-Approval

• On-site walkthrough audit to gather high level data

Phase 2

Scoping of Savings Potential

• Project Scoping

• Engineering calculates potential savings

• Rebate letter sent out via mail and electronically

Phase 3

Implementation

• Schedule Implementation

• High level post-inspection

• Incentive Payout

Examples of Eligible Projects

• Wireless Pneumatic Thermostats

• Energy Recovery Wheel

• High Efficiency Burner Retrofit

• Optimizing BAS

• Runaround Heat Recovery Loop

Examples of Eligible Projects

Wireless Pneumatic Thermostats

Project: Building Automation System (BAS) upgrade from pneumatic to Wireless Pneumatic Thermostats

Custom Incentive: $ 90,000

Examples of Eligible Projects

Energy Recovery Wheel

• Project completed at a university campus.

• Preconditioning fresh air with recovered energy to reduce heating load by 12%

Examples of Eligible Projects

Burner Upgrade

• The program identified that a main boiler that was operating inefficiently due to excessive cycling and an improperly sized burner. This resulted in a capital project to right-size the burner, leading to a 20 percent increase in overall boiler efficiency

• HVAC optimization efforts started with the building’s space heating and supply air reheat boilers. Two new high-efficiency burners were installed featuring high turndown, linkageless controls and oxygen trim.

Examples of Eligible Projects

Optimizing Building Automation System (BAS)

• Through a program funded study, the facility was able to identify immediate opportunities to save energy through temperature setbacks and optimization of existing BAS system.

• Estimated Savings ~ 8% of Annual Gas Use

Examples of Eligible Projects

Optimizing Building Automation System (BAS)

• Installation of a glycol runaround heat recovery loop to recover heat rom the lab exhaust and pre-heat incoming makeup air.

• Savings achieved ~ 20%

• Incentive Paid ~ $85,000
