Dear Family and Friends, 2010 is coming to a close, and Barbara and I are so grateful to God for another year of missions ministry. We started full time as missionaries in Sept. 1998 and, with God’s help and your prayer and financial support, we continue serving Russian-speaking churches and church planters in Russia and in Eastern and Central Europe. This last trip to Europe with Hal Hays, President of Encouragement International, Dustin Arrieta, Sasha Kurmaev (St. Petersburg church planter), and Gennady Gavrilov (pastor of the Prague Slavic Church) was very productive. We personally met with 11 international church planters in 4 countries. We received ministry updates and asked the question: “How can we help?” Please pray for these men as they continue to expand their church-planting ministries: 1. Czech Republic (200,000 Russian-speaking people) • Gennady Gavrilov – Prague: Slavic Church pastor/oversees all church planting ministries in Czech Republic and Europe • Oleg Grytsyk Prague: starting youth service/ needs training in counseling • Igor Grytsyk (brother to Oleg) – Kladno (suburb of Prague): deciding whether he should enter the ministry full-time • Lev Shultz – Plzen (55 miles west of Prague): needs help with sports and marriage/family ministries • Sasha Shevchenko – Brno (116 miles southeast of Prague): pray for contacts with more Russian-speaking people • Alexander Tarashenkov – Karlovy Vary (80 miles west of Prague): needs help in more effective evangelism methods • Nick Rotaru and Peter Patrascu from Moldova: (in Prague with us): praying about relocating to Milan, Italy, to plant a Russian-speaking church 2. Athens, Greece (600,000 Russian-speaking people) • Sergey Dragan: connected him with a mentor for weekly encouragement and accountability/needs to find places where more Russian- speaking people congre- gate/financial help/pray for Daniela, his wife, in a ministry which attempts to rescue young pros- titutes in downtown Athens 3. Stockholm, Sweden (100,000 Russian-speaking people) • Alexander Markov: on staff with New Life Evangelical Free Church focusing on Slavic outreach/set up a mentor for him who is Assoc. Pastor of New Life Church/needs additional training/pray for evangelism activities to produce more fruit. 4. Paris, France (more than 500,000 Russian-Speaking people)

• Anatolie Bucatari: developed a now-established church/needs training/

pray for evangelism activities to yield more lasting fruit.

It was fulfilling to meet with these men and hear about their ministries and their prayer needs. Enclosed is a sheet with more

details concerning their ministries and personal needs.

Gennady Gavrilov provided our team with a fresh look at his visionary European church-planting goals. His desire is to help establish 30 new churches in 10 European countries in 5 years. Ultimately, each country would have its own country church planting coordinator.

I am very excited about this plan and hope to help Gennady carry out this dream for the glory of God. He will be at Agoura Bible Fellowship on Sunday, January 9, to help recruit American team members for the English-Russian Family Camp in the Czech Republic (July 6-19, 2011). Last summer we had 9 Americans and 120 Russian-speaking people at the camp.

For the following 10 days in January, Gennady and I will be traveling to west coast American and Russian churches to recruit for the Czech summer team and envision people for the expanded European church planting vision we feel called to fulfill. 2011 will be an exciting year of ministry for us!

Again, Barbara and I feel extremely blessed to be able to do this ministry. God has given us incredible relationships here in the U.S. as well as with Russian-speaking church leaders, church planters, church members, and friends, since my first trip to Russia in 1995. We thank God for the relationship we

have with you, our ministry partners. Our goal continues to be: reaching Slavic peoples with the Gospel of Jesus Christ by helping church planters establish God-reliant, reproducing churches for the glory of God.

May your Christmas celebration be a joy and blessing to you and your family. We are always amazed that the God Who created the entire universe would scale Himself down and become a man! That He would come to earth as a baby, motivated by His love for us, and would choose to die a criminal's death for crimes we have committed. We accept this gift…and He gives us eternal life. Wow. Glory to God in the highest!

With love,

Jim and Barbara
