Current market situationToday’s school districts are confronted with many challenges. Funding to support the educa-tional missions of local communities is seriously restricted and continues to be a critical issue at all levels of government. Meanwhile, increased accountability to improve educational quality and increasing operational expenses contrib-ute to escalating pressure in the funding crisis. Specifically, how do schools improve student outcomes while keeping budgets balanced?

From elementary through high school, docu-ments are used as a prime means of classroom material and communication among teachers, students and parents. Documents also sup-port key school administrative areas that must provide annual budgets, schedules, evalua-tion reports, personnel policies, and various government-mandated reports.

Naturally, adding color to such documents is advantageous when capturing student compre-hension and improving lesson retention. And while high-quality color is important to school districts, cost is paramount. Historically, how-ever, the ability to produce high-quality color documents in-house has been cost-prohibitive.

In addition, there has been an increased focus among school districts to promote and support sustainability initiatives to reduce environmen-tal impact.

Productivity, ease-of-use and reliability have become increasingly important as streamlined document processes allow teachers to focus on teaching, monitoring and assessing student progress.

The Xerox ColorQube 9300 series offers the ideal solution for the challenges currently facing K-12 school districts.

What it means for youThe Xerox ColorQube 9301/9302/9303 are fully featured MFPs that dramatically reduce the cost of color printing with cartridge-free Solid Ink technology.

Most standard cost-per-copy plans charge a fi xed rate for color pages. This may be good for full-color-coverage documents, but the majority of offi ce color pages have only low to moderate amounts of color (see chart below).

The ColorQube 9300 series Hybrid Color Plan classifi es pages based on the amount of color pixels on that particular page. When you use less color, you pay less. Pages with useful amounts of color cost the same as a black-and-white page — just 1¢! Now school districts can offer color printing to more schools district-wide while greatly lowering monthly printing costs.

The ColorQube 9300 series uses solid sticks of no-mess, non-toxic ink instead of cartridges. The cartridge-free technology produces naturally vibrant and glossy prints — even on recycled media — and helps greatly reduce your schools’ overall environmental impact by producing up to 90% less waste versus a comparable laser device.

In addition, the ColorQube 9300 series is equipped with powerful scanning capabilities, allowing it serve as a digital on-ramp, and support a wide array of Xerox Business Innovation Partner solutions that can better manage printing costs in computer labs, and improve operations.

More color. Lower monthly costs.
