Galatians 5:22-23“But the fruit of theSpirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentle-ness and self-con-trol. Against suchthings there is nolaw.”

The times we are liv-ing in are very trouble-

some times. In the last few years ourwhole circumstances have changed. Theeconomy was going strong, but afterSeptember 11, it changed. We headedinto a recession, and worse Americans nolonger felt safe in their own homes. Thereis great trouble in the Middle East, andthe U.S. is discovering that Europe maybeturning against us. We are told that fur-ther terrorist attacks are inevitable, noth-ing is certain anymore and on top of allthat, our own individual problems havenot gone away. For some of us, right nowmay be a great time personally, but oth-ers may be going through very uncertainand difficult times.

Jesus disciples also encountered justsuch a time in their lives. They had allcome from various walks of life beforethey met Jesus. Maybe for some of them, life was good, and for others life was bad.For the past three-and-a-half years theyhad been with Jesus and life had beengood. They had seen countless miracles, healings, deliverances, walking on water, calming the storm, feeding the 5,000, andeven raising the dead. They had spent thepast years listening to the greatest teach-ings ever spoken. Further, because theyexpected that Jesus would literally over-throw the Roman government and set uphis kingdom in Jerusalem, they wereexcited because Jesus had gained popu-larity and they were on the inside of themovement. They had no idea of the crisisthey were about to be put through, basi-cally that Jesus would be arrested, beat-en, tried, and crucified.

However, Jesus knew what was aboutto take place, and he wanted to preparethem for what was ahead. So, heexplained to them what was about to hap-pen. Previously he had made referencesto his death, but in a way that they couldnot understand. Now, he wanted them toreally understand what he was saying, sohe spoke clearly to them. This conversa-tion that Jesus had with his disciples pre-pared them better to accept the changesand the uncertainty that was about tocome.

None of us likes change. None of uslikes uncertainty. We’re always going to

have a certain level of worry when weknow that hard times are ahead of us.However, we can by examining Jesus’ dis-course with the disciples, learn how to getthrough those times without worrying.

John 14:1-4 says, "Do not be troubled. You trust God, now trust in me. There aremany rooms in my Father’s home, and Iam going to prepare a place for you. Ifthis were not so, I would tell you plainly. When everything is ready, I will come andget you, so that you will always be withme where I am. Philippians 4:6-7 says,“Do not worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what youneed, and thank him for all he has done.If you do this, you will experience God’speace, which is far more wonderful thanthe human mind can understand. Hispeace will guard your hearts and minds asyou live in Christ Jesus.”

Trust and faith are really similar words, almost treated as synonyms sometimes. But really they are miles apart. Faith iswhat moves a mountain or calms a ragingstorm. But do you know what is greaterthan faith? What I find more spectacularthan Jesus calming the storm, was histrust in God that allowed him to be fastasleep in perfect peace while the stormraged all around him. Faith is knowingthat God can change things. Trust isknowing that God will do what is best. Itis trust that keeps you floating until themiracle comes. Amen!

Many times in your lives, situationsmay seem hopeless. You may even ques-tion, “Where is God in all this?” We maywonder how anything good could possiblycome of our situation. Romans 8:28 says,“And we know that God causes everythingto work together for the good of thosewho love God and are called according tohis purpose for them.” Amen!

Maybe we use this verse so much inChristianity that it becomes a cliché, butthe fact is that it is a very real truth fromGod’s word. No matter what the enemythrows your way, God will turn it intogood. You can trust God, because heassures you that there is a reason for it.He did not send the trials your way. Andhe did not stop them, because he plans todo something great through them. Wemay not always see right now what goodis going to come of it, but that is wheretrust comes in. God says it will turn intogood. You may see it someday, and youmay never recognize it, but good willcome.

Another way that Jesus reassured hisdisciples was his promise that it would notlast forever. He said, “I am going away, but I will be back to get you.” The fact isGod promises that whatever trials youhave to go through, they won’t last forev-

er. We have a saying, “All good thingsmust come to an end.” But the Christianperspective should be, “All bad thingsmust come to an end.” Amen!

Jesus knew that his disciples could notsurvive the turmoil that was ahead forev-er, but he was able to promise them thatthere may be storm clouds ahead, although there may be sunshine on theother side.

Psalm 30:5 says, “Weeping may go onall night, but joy comes with the morn-ing.” You may feel today like your circum-stances will never change. You may feellike you have entered the never-ending-valley-of-the-shadow-of-death. In fact, Ido not know your situations, but someonehere could very well feel like it’s the endof the world. But Jesus promises you thatyour trials will not last forever. Amen!

Even on the earth, he will provide away out for you. But our ultimate releaseis going to come when he returns to getus like he promised. He will take us out ofthe grip of this world and its troubles for-ever. And at that time, every unfair trialand circumstance you were put throughwill be made right.

Job was put through a terrible trial.First, having been rich, he lost all of hispossessions. He lost his cattle, his house,

and his children. Then Satan cursed himwith a terrible sickness. Even his wifeadvised him to curse God and die. But inthat moment, we see the most intensetrust of God’s deliverance.

Job 19:25 says, “"But as for me, Iknow that my Redeemer lives, and that hewill stand upon the earth at last. “ Jobknew that no matter what he was goingthrough now, he could endure it, becauseit would not last forever. As surely as hisproblem existed, one day his vindicatorwould stand triumphant.

Jesus promised them that eventhough he himself had to go, he wouldsend another. He would send the HolySpirit to them. The Holy Spirit would notbe limited to time and space like Jesuswas.

Lastly, it is precisely because you cantrust in God to get you through hardtimes: trust that he is in control; trust thatit won’t last forever; trust that we havewhat we need to get through; and trustthat he will never leave us, that Jesuscould say in John 14:27, “I am leaving youwith a gift; peace of mind and heart. Andthe peace I give is not like the peace theworld gives. So do not be troubled orafraid.” Now you know how to have peacein times of trouble. Amen!

I mentioned on lastweek the importance ofknowing the mind andthe will of God, and ifwe are to come in tofull touch with God, wemust believe that he is.The writer of theEpistle to the Hebrewssaid, “He that comethto God must believethat He is, and that He

is a rewarder of them that diligently seekHim.” (Hebrews 11:6). The actual pres-ence of God must be realized throughfaith. We must realize Him as the all-knowing God. He knows all about us. Heknows us even better than we know our-selves. He knows our yesterdays and heknows our tomorrow as well as he knowsour today. Trust Him today for yourheaven’s hope, help and happiness.

From the rising of the sun unto thegoing down of the same the Lord's name isto be praised. – Psalm 113:3

Praise God. Praise Him in the morning.Praise Him at noon. Praise Him at night. If

you've neverpraised God in yourlife, then get startedright now. PraiseHim for freedom.Praise Him for heal-ing and Calvary.Praise Him for theName of Jesus.

You ought to beshouting your wayto work and shout-ing your way backhome! If there's

anything the devil can't stand, its praise. If you've taken territory from the devil

and he's coming against you to get it back, this is not the time to sit down and whineabout how things aren't working out. It'snot time to decide that God has taken Hishand off your life.

It is time to get into the Word and getyou re-anchored in God's promises. It istime to keep that promise constantlybefore your eyes and in your heart. It istime to pray the prayer of faith and takeyour stand on the basis of His provision. Itis time to continue to do the things youknow to do.

When Satan starts shaking your moun-tain, don't retreat and run for cover. Speakto the mountain with the authority youwield in the Name of Jesus Christ. Then, when you're done with that, start to praiseand shout the victory.

You don't have to be afraid of Satan. He'll be afraid of you!

“From Where I Sit” by Sandra Crenshaw U.S. Judge Barbara Lynn sentenced former Dallas Mayor Pro Tem Don Hill to 18 years in

federal prison and fined him $112,500 in restitution to Bill Fisher, the housing developer whoturned FBI informant. In what appears to be the end of the largest public corruption trial inTexas, controversy still remains as to why Hill remains defiant that he did nothing wrong. Hisclaim of innocence after a four-year investigation, 30,000 hours of taped conversation, and athree month trial in his defense, all paid at taxpayers expense has his friends and foes con-cerned. Some question whether or not “Don really gets it.” Others are questioning the fair-ness of our judicial system. “Where are the victims to justify 18 years in the pen ” they ask.

At one time I had the same concerns. Here are a few glimpses of what I learned fromwhere I sit-- up front.

Don Hill, once the second-highest-ranking elected official at Dallas City Hall is also anattorney bound by oath to uphold the law. The Judge described the conduct of the 14 defen-dants as a stick up, robbing folks without a gun. Several prominent black business men toldme that If it had been them, they would have “just pulled out a gun and shot them-----. aboutthey money“

Hill tells Lee to “Go get $10 grand from the boys, put it in an envelope and give it toDistrict 7 Councilman Leo Chaney and then ask Chaney to get you $200,000 out of District 7discretionary bond money account for infrastructure for one of your personal real estate prop-erty investments.” Who are the victims here? Because Lee, acted under the guidance anddirection of Hill, he was sentenced to 14 years in prison for conduct that he did not know wasa federal crime. He was being lead by an Attorney and Lee thought this was politics. He tear-fully testified of how his children were being ridiculed at school, he spoke of the pain it causedhis elderly mother, how his father, who died recently, did not get up each morning at 6am toprovide for his 7 children so that he would NOT end up where he is now.

We heard Hill tell Sheila Farrington, a woman who was not his wife, to wake up and cometo City Hall. She said she didn’t know what to say. Hill told her “The deal is already done. Ijust need you to seal the deal.” Just put that tight purple dress on and come here and “backthat thing up” ( in front of this white businessman.” His conductwas an affront to women. His church was made to look hypocrit-ical allowing him to serve on the deacon board.

We heard Hill tell Sheila to give money to Lee in less than$10,000 increments to avoid exposure to the banks and then Hilltestified that Sheila did not file 1099 income tax forms for Leebecause she did not have Lee’s social security number. This kindof testimony caused the Judge to be appalled that an attorneywould stand before the public, a jury and a judge and claiminnocence. The Judge told Hill that he led his now wife to thepen for 9 years and literally orphaned her 16 year old daughterin her junior year at Town View Law Magnet. Hill never apolo-gized to his ex wife or their children.

Ricky Robertson , a local car dealer, sold Sheila a BMWfor Don. We gathered that Sheila did not want the car put in Hills

name because it would be communi-ty property with his wife. The onlyevidence the government had tocharge Robertson in this matter wasa conversation where Robertsoffered suggestions of whose namethe car could be transferred to.. Thejury did not know that Roberts, bylaw, has to transfer titles within 21days or face penalties. Now he faces3 years in the federal pen and lost hislicense to earn a living when he getsout. He will lose the opportunity tosee a baby girl that he and his wife,a local dentist, adopted to keep ateen mother from aborting her.

Its getting tobe one of myfavorite times ofthe year, the NFLscouting combineis being held inIndianapolis, Ind.And Track seasonis moving outdoors.

There hasalways been differ-ent schools of thought on the NFL com-bine, one school of thought and it seemsto be the prevailing thought is that thecombine is useless. If you can’t look atthese young men body of work and studyfilm of their college career then you don’tknow NFL talent. I’m one those few thatthink the combine has a place in thesports world. First off supposedly theseyoung men are amateurs and the fact thatyou are applying for a job, and this is theprocedure you’re required to go through, that’s what you went to school for do it.

There is the argument, that says youcan’t tell anything about a kids footballability by seeing how fast he can run the40 yd dash, and testing his vertical leap.My retort is I wish the NBA had similartesting, because somehow the Maverickshas come up with several centers thatcan’t jump either direction up or down.Honestly though the biggest problemmost young men have in going from col-lege to NFL is the speed of the game. From a more practical stand point if youcan’t get there you’re a spectator make nodifference, how good, how strong or howtechnically sound you are, if you’re notfast enough to get there in time you’re aspectator should be a paying customer.

Some even wonder how can a footballplayers stock go up at a combine in Marchand for all intents an purposes footballseason was over in December. Now wecome to the real reason for the combine,I think this is an excellent way to find outwhere these young men are mentally.

VANCOUVER - French pairs skatersYannick Bonheur and Vanessa James areset to create history on Sunday whenthey become the first black couple tocompete in figure skating at the OlympicGames.

Getting to Vancouver has been a longjourney for the duo who teamed up justover two years ago after Bonheur put anadvert on the internet after splitting withprevious partner Marylin Pla.

Canadian-born James' aunt saw itand convinced her niece, who has lived inEngland since she was a child, to reply.

James, 22, arrived in France for atrial run and never left with the duo team-ing up in December 2007.

"It's destiny and I'm very happy

about it," said 27-year-old Bonheur."There's the grace and beauty of

Vanessa and then my athleticism. And thefact that we're both black brings a pleas-ing visual harmony."

James previously competed interna-tionally for Britain as a single's skater. She was the 2006 British national cham-pion and 2007 silver medallist.

The pair moved to Indianapolis in theUnited States in August 2009 to train withRussian coach Sergei Zaitsev.

And last December they booked theirticket to Vancouver by winning the Frenchnationals, a victory which enabled Jamesto receive French citizenship.

Bonheur said they were determinedthat their Olympic experience will lay the

groundwork for future successes, afterthey finished seventh at Europeans.

"This is just the beginning. We wantto make a name for ourselves so thatthey'll remember us for next season," hesaid.

Being tagged the first black pairsskaters is not a disadvantage, they insist.

"It's often been remarked that welook different on the ice. So we want tohighlight that," said Bonheur.

"We want to climb the ladder to showthat black skaters can stand on the podi-um."

Didier Gailhaguet, president of theFrench skating federation, added: "Theyhave a really exceptional look aboutthem."

In preparing forthis article I thought ofmany needs for thesixty plus adulthoodindividuals. As a mem-ber of this age groupmyself, I am veryfamiliar with theseneeds.

As most people willnotice, many of ouryounger generation

looks to the older and matureChristians for guidance and encour-agement, but nobody ever stops tothink about the life of those peoplewho are sixty plus. The people thatthe younger generation looks to forguidance. How about their lives, howare things going in their lives? As ayounger generation this very seldomcomes to their minds. I know that, because of my own children. My kidslook at me as a permanent statue oflife, as if I’ve been her forever, andI’ve always been what I am right now.I do not have any worries, my billsnever get behind, and I am supposeto have money, I’ve never made anymistakes, and there is nothing that I

really need. That’s kind of the way things are,

many adults who are in a youngerbracket think that older people are notreally hurting for anything, they neverget worried, they never have any anx-iety. As Eleanor McKinney puts it: “You will probably find that the maintopic of discussion is health problems. They may be exchanging thoughts ontheir illness, prescriptions, insomnia,Medicare, health insurance or the highcost of living. Why these negativeexpressions? Because that is wheretheir concerns are.”

In this writing we are going todeal with some ways of understandingthese needs of specific groups. Not toleave out any other, but to zero in ongroups which seems to be taken forgranted that everything is all right. Itook the course on ADULT EDUCA-TION, and I was really surprised toknow how some groups felt aboutthemselves in the Church Body.

There probably are many BiblicalImperatives we could se, but for thiswriting we are going to use Matthew28: 18-20. ‘Go ye therefore, and teachall nations, baptizing them in the

name of the Father, and the Son, andof the Holy Ghost. Teaching them toobserve all whatsoever I have com-manded you: and lo, I am with youalways, even unto the end of theworld.”

One of the first things any Churchshould do within this group is establisha discipleship program, because thisage group is one of the fastest grow-ing segments in our society. As theyears go by, more and more pressureis going to be applied to being visiblein participation in planning what theyneed to be doing. The 60 and up classdo not want to be pushed aside. Onceupon a time this group was content tojust being silent, but no more, theywant to be heard, and they want toplay a major role in the make up of asenior curriculum and planning pro-gram.

In order to have a productive pro-gram for seniors, we must first recog-nize the fact that there is a need forthis age group and we must takethese needs and develop a program tomeet the needs of this group.

Talking from the 2nd Chapter ofTitus, Kenneth Gagel says, “Nowhere

else in Scripture do we have such fas-cinating categorization of adults intofive specific groups, and for eachgroup an identification of the kinds ofeducational experiences they neededin the light of their age, role in theChurch and cultural surroundings.

Paul write to the young Churchleader, “Teach the older men to betemperate, worthy of respect, selfcontrolled, and sound in faith, in Loveand endurance (v2).” Homer Kent, says, “Healthy Christian lives are theresults of healthful doctrine (v1),” Thethree areas of Christian life where thishealth is to be clearly evident arefaith, love, and patience. Each termhas the definite article. So, it is thefaith (that is Christian truth), the love(which is the Christian’s duty, Jn.13:34and the patience (which theChristian is to display on earth whilewaiting for the Lord (James 5:7-8).”

Outside of the family, the Churchis the best friend the elderly has everhad. The reason that it is because theChurch has taught Biblical values oflove and ideas of compassion thathave contributed to their total wellbeing.

Is the Church Supplying the Needs for our 60 Plus Adults?

Hutchinson, Medina and Shamifall short in Party Primaries

By Lola SearcyTexas voters from both parties went to the polls

on Tuesday, March 2nd and sent a message to theirrespective parties. The Republicans made it very clearthat incumbent Governor Rick Perry should keep hisjob as the State’s longest tenured Governor. TheRepublican race was somewhat disappointing as many

political analysts were expecting the race for theGovernor’s mansion to be much closer after a strongshowing by Senator Kay Bailey Hutchinson in earlierpolls. After watching the Republican debates, unknown and newcomer Debra Medina was expectedto do well against Governor Perry and SenatorHutchinson. Instead, both Hutchinson finished a dis-tant 2nd while Medina finished way behind in 3rd.

On the Democratic side, Houston businessmanand multi-millionaire, Farouk Shami finished a very dis-tant second behind former Houston Mayor, Bill White.Despite the guarantee of 100,000 jobs in his first 2years as Governor or he’d resign, was not enough toconvince Democratic voters that he should be the manto challenge Rick Perry for the Governor’s mansion.Former Houston Mayor, Bill White was the obviouschoice for Democratic voters. Latest results show BillWhite received 80% of the Democratic votes in DallasCounty, to Farouk Shami’s 11%.

Perhaps the biggest surprise of the night came inthe race for Dallas County Judge. Well known Ellis

County attorney, Clay Jenkins who was endorsed bysome of the biggest names in local, county and Statepolitics finds himself in an unexpected runoff againstLarry Duncan, former Dallas City Council member andcurrent President of Dallas County Schools Board.Jenkins who spent more than $300,000 dollars wasn’table to garner the 51% needed to win the County

Judge nomination.Jenkins received49.82% to Duncan’s29.71%. The two ofthem will go head tohead in a runoff elec-tion on April 13th.

The winner ofthe runoff on theDemocratic side willface Republican WadeEmmert in theNovember generalelection.

Other run offs onApril 13th include the Judge of the 134th JudicialDistrict between Dale Tillery and David Kelton. SusanAnderson and Teresa Hawthorne will face a runoff forJudge in the 203rd Judicial District. Attorney Etta J.Mullin, will face a runoff against Hector H. Garza forJudge of County Criminal Court No. 5; Brenda HullThompson and Margret Jones – Johnson for Judge ofthe County Probate Court No.1. Tina Yoo and LashicaWalton-Barnes in a run off for Judge of County CriminalCourt No. 8; embattled County Constable of PrecinctNo. 5, will face a runoff against Beth Villareal.

The other surprise of the night came whenIncumbent Judge David Hanschen of the 254th JudicialDistrict court was defeated by James Martin.Constable Derrick Evans, Judge Tracy Holmes, William“Bill” Mazur, Jr. were successful in their bids for re-elec-tion. Judge Valencia Nash was unopposed in her bidfor Justice of the Peace Precinct 1, Place 2; while JudgeThomas Jones won handily over Sylvia Rhodes –Bradley for the Justice of Peace Precinct 1; Place 1.

CITY BEATSunday we celebratedour 41st church anniver-sary. This was a greatday as we rememberedthe founders and mem-bers that have gone onto be with the Lord. Wewere blessed to seemany of the formermembers of our churchwho have relocated butreturned for this day. Ourchurch school lesson was

“Anointed by a Woman in Bethany” Matt.26:6-13. This lesson was described to usas “The Extravagance of Love” becausethis woman did not take into account theprice of the ointment that she pouredupon Christ, this was not protocol, but anact of love displayed spontaneously bythis woman. We were reminded that realLove does not calculate cost. Many timeswe declare our love for someone but keepan account of all that we do for them, butreal love when it has done its best feels it

was inadequate. The disciples that stoodaround was thinking in terms of the valueof the ointment and what could havebeen done for the poor, Jesus said thepoor will always be with us. This act wasmemorialized; Jesus said wherever thisgospel is preached mention will be madeof this woman and her act of love. PastorL.T.Morgan delivered the morning mes-sage “The unifying power of purpose”from Amos 3:3. Sometimes we fail to dothe “work of the church” because we donot embrace the single purpose of thechurch in the earth. “Why does the churchexist?” Some have turned Church into anentertainment center, so people comeexpecting to be entertained by the choir, the preacher, the praise dancers, andnever hear the Gospel. When this hap-pens the church has to keep coming upwith something new to attract. Isn’t Jesusattractive enough? Isn’t He the reasonfor the church’s existence?Be blessed

NOTES FROM UNION HOPE

“The Extravagance of Love” "I want to thank each and every per-son who has given their time, energyand votes to my campaign for Governorof Texas. Although this wasn't the out-come we'd hoped for, do not get discour-aged.

A defeat is only a defeat if you let itstop you. I will not let today's resultsstop me. Although I will not be ournominee for Governor, I will continue tofight for those I have met on the cam-paign trail. I will continue to fight tobring jobs to Texas. I will continue tofight for equality in our education sys-tem. I will continue to support candi-dates who fight for all Texans.

I ask for each of you to join me. Donot give up hope. Continue to supportthe cause. Eventually, we will overcomeall obstacles and accomplish our goal, real change for Texas.

Thank you again for your support. It means the world to me, more than Ican ever express in words."

On Sunday, February 28, 2010, Rev.Ralph Massey, Pastor of County LineMissionary Baptist Church, Van, Texas,Sister Latrell Bryant and the membersheld their Annual Black History MonthProgram, including honoring AfricanAmerican businesses.

When reflecting on the collectivereasons we celebrate black historymonth, we are amazed and appreciativeat all the history our forbearers have leftus to ponder. There are a million reasonsto say thank you to the people who havegiven so much to our city, state, and ournation. Most times, we forget just howimportant and how strong the men andwomen were who blazed the trail reallyhad to be. We are constantly looking formore people (men, women, boys andgirls) who served above and beyond thecall of duty for us and our country and inour communities. It’s so important thatwe embrace the businesses that existwithin our communities because withoutthe businesses, it’s difficult for a thrivingcommunity to exist. That’s why we takethis time each year to at least say thankyou to these individuals.

Thirty-five (35) years ago, Sister

Latrell Bryant hadthe idea to host aBlack History MonthProgram, showcas-ing the rich historyof AfricanAmericans as wellas to honor busi-nesses in her localcommunity. Thisprogram has beengoing forth everyyear since thattime.

Sister LatrellBryant, a long-timemember of CountyLine MBC and the Mother of the RightReverend Raymond Bryant, an outstand-ing AME preacher, understands what itmeans to embrace businesses in thecommunity. Sister Bryant understandsthat supporting businesses helps thecommunity to thrive. We salute SisterLatrell Bryant and Rev. Ralph Massey forputting together this annual program, honoring African American businesses.

Not only does this program takeplace annually, Sister Latrell Bryant and

many of the mem-bers prepare afeast fit for a King.Honorees, guests, friends and mem-bers all get togeth-er after this serviceand enjoy a hearty, delicious homecooked meal. There was so muchto choose from itwas simply over-whelming. But wehappily managedto get through it.

For the past 2years, Jordan Blair, Publisher of the EliteNews, has attended this Black HistoryProgram in Van, Texas. In 2009, JordanBlair was an honoree and this year thehe was the guest speaker. Mrs. LatrellBryant said that they enjoyed Jordan somuch that they wanted him back againthis year. Jordan comes with his ownpersonal flavor loaded with lots of highenergy. To add to the flavor, Jordan Blairand his son Harrison sang in a cappella aduet titled, Hold On Change Is Coming.

Young Harrison created the music withhis voice as well as joined in occasional-ly to sing the song with Jordan. “It’squite an honor to be asked to come andshare my thoughts on Black History,” saidMr. Blair. “Being a business owner, Itotally understand the concept of givingback to the community. That’s what theElite News commits to doing on a regularbasis because we appreciate those busi-nesses and individuals who patronize theElite News.”

This year’s theme “We Need to ComeTogether,” was based on Acts 2:44; “Andall that believed were together, and hadall things common.” The message wasclear, that all people should come togeth-er to help one another.

Honorees for this 2010 Black HistoryProgram were: Mr. Nathaniel Kennedy(Real Estate); Mrs. Yolanda Mims(Probation Officer); Mrs. Bobbie Jackson(Affordable Bail Bonds); Mr. PatrickSullivan (Int’l Suits); Mr. and Mrs.Sammie Lindsey (the Crimson Door); Mr.Henry Jackson (Smith County ConstablePct. 1); and Tracy Johnson (The CorvetteClub).

Hill, Continued from Page 6We heard Hill imply that the FBI planted

evidence in his home when they raided it. Helied under oath and said that the fax machinetaken into evidence was not his. When theFBI presented receipts that Hill had receivedthe fax machine from Dallas City Hall, he con-tinued to try to convince the jury he got thefax machine after the date in question whenreceipts showed the fax machine was pur-chased the previous year. We heard Hill tellSheila not to refer to him as “her Man”because he was her attorney and she mayhave to go under oath one day. (I suspect inanticipation of a divorce or income tax hear-ing.) The Jurors and the public were remind-ed that Hill had been sanctioned by the StateBar for trying to beat his law clients out oftheir money. He tried to beat the IRS outthey money, and that the water at his wife’shome got cut off for nonpayment while hewas extorting $174,000.00”.

There were over 160 witnesses that wereinterviewed by the FBI. Can you imagine theterror, these otherwise law abiding citizenswere subjected to. Don was offered a 5 yearplea bargain. He choose to drag everybodydown in court and have these embarrassingtapes played before the public. Leo Chaney’smom died worrying about her son. I can goon and on and on. Can YOU get it.?
