AHello:With the Terraponic Grow Pots® and theSupernatural® nutrient there is no need toadjust the pH. The nutrients are wellbuffered, very stable and designed to auto-matically buffer to the correct pH. It is bestnot to adjust the pH up or down.

Scheduling feedings is very simple withSupernatural Terraponic®. The easiest wayto tell is by the weight of the Grow Pots®,when the first one feels light in weight feedthem all by saturating with nutrient. Thehigher performance growth methods areachieved by passing more solution over theroots. The size of the plant and Grow Pot®,as well as temperature and humidity play avital role in moisture content. When thegrowth medium gets too dry, the concentra-tion goes up, pH goes out, etc. This is whyyou should never feed a dried out plant withnutrient, but always water first. The medi-um should never be allowed to dry out to theextent that the leaves look droopy.

You should feed the Grow Pots® at minimumonce per day, especially when the plants areyoung. Twice a day as soon as they start toshow lush growth. If you add extra feedingcycles you should lower your nutrient to pre-vent build up. The Terraponic® mix also canbe drip-fed. Leaching or flushing is crucial to healthy growth. It is best to feed for 6days with a total dissolved solid content of500 or 600 ppm, then leach with SuperLeach® and flush through the top with plentyof water. Resume feeding nutrient at nextfeeding cycle.

QI am growing in a soiless mixture out-doors using General HydroponicsFloura series chemicals, then I discov-ered your products. I am a few weeksfrom harvest and intend to use BudBlaster as recommended in the lastweek before harvesting. Here is myquestion. AHello:A 5 L Grow Pot® will out perform 20 L (5gal) of regular soil less mix such as Sunshine#4 or Pro Mix. It takes a smaller amount ofGrow Pot Mix® to obtain much better thanexpected results. Use the 5 L Grow Pot® ifyou grow to a finishing height of 36" to 45".They would be vegetated for only one or twoweeks. If growing longer a 20 L Grow Pot®

would allow you to finish at 5' 6". You woulduse a 30 L for mother plants.

To grow with Terraponic® is very easy. TheTerraponic® mix comes layered and ready touse in the Supernatural Terraponic GrowPot®. Just punch holes as indicated nearbottom, open top and plant. The individualfeeding instructions are listed on the backof the grow pot week by week for that par-ticular size of Grow Pot®. The Grow Pot®

needs only a flood depth of one to threeinches of nutrient solution in the air table

AHello:Excellofizz® is the product of choice, espe-cially in more confined areas. Splitting thetablet in half would be adequate for yoursize area. Use one-half tablet at a time.Place the Excellofizz® container so that the reaction does not splatter on theleaves. React one-half tablet at least onehour into the photoperiod. QHelloI recently picked up this product forone of my smaller grow closets, buthave a few questions in relation tothe proper use of SupernaturalExcellofizz®. 100 ML of water: Is thisenough to generate proper C02? Itseems like a small amount to add tothe puck, for after one days use, thewater level is quite low, and there isstill some mass to the puck. Should Ioccasionally add more water until thepuck is dissolved? How long shouldone puck produce C02? Or, how oftenshould I wash out the container andprovide a new puck with 100ML ofwater? My hydro shop was uncertainabout this. In just one days use, Ihave noticed great results, and planon using Supernatural Excellofizz® inmore of my hydro systems.Scott

AHi Scott:You can add a little more water to furtherdissolve the puck. The puck will reactapproximately 5 hrs into the photoperiod

and then further increase C02 levels afterthe reaction has subsided by absorbing oxy-gen from the surrounding air. The contain-er can be washed out daily or at least atthree days. It is best to add a tablet onehour after the lights come on in order toallow time for the stomata to open. EachExcellofizz® tablet creates the properamount of C02 required by a 12 cubic footarea, especially where venting is limited. Anew tablet should be reacted every day. AHi:The best nutrients to run for heavy fruit-load, flowering/ripening in hydroponicswould be Bloom Aqua®, Ultimate B-1Thrive® and Bud Blaster®. You can run BudBlaster® all the way thru flowering withimpressive results. The first 4 weeks add 1tsp / 20 L of nutrient solution. The last 4weeks add 3 tsp, making sure not to exceedthe recommended total concentration inppm. Some people like to switch from BloomAqua® to Super Boost® in the last 2 weeksbefore leaching. QHello, I got a trial pack of your SUPER-BOOST formula and I was reading onthe instruction about that you recom-mend that you should leach regularly.Is this to remove the salt build up thataccumulates on the growing medium?I don’t understand the entire processof leaching. What causes it? I was alsowondering if it is recommended tousing evaporated sea salt (aquariumsalt) to neutralize the pH levels. I havea 10 gallon reservoir and 25 fiveweek old sweet hybrid 100s cherrytomatoes on a drip system and noppm meter. Do you have any chartson mixing ratios?Thanks for your help. AHello: Leaching is done to remove unusedminerals and metals from the growth medi-um. If left they would build up to toxic lev-els and cause deficiency symptoms. It is bestto leach your plants from the top every oneor two weeks depending on plant growthand frequency of feedings. In Terraponic®

and hydroponics we recommend leachingonce per week. This way the plants get afresh nutrient profile and balanced solutionwhich they need in order to assimilate thenutrients. A rule of thumb is to flush theplants from the top with enough fresh waterto equal double the amount of soil mix inthe pot. Supernatural Super Leach® may beadded before flushing with water to helploosen stubborn compounds.

Do not use sea salt as it would be toxic tothe plants. With Supernatural® plant foodyou do not need to worry about pH. Ourcustom buffered nutrients have auto pHcontrol built in. Super Boost® is only meantto be used for short periods to jump startyour plants. In hydroponics you should beusing Grow Aqua® and Bloom Aqua® at therecommended mixture rates on the label.They are listed in teaspoons per 4 litres forthose who do not have test equipment. Keep

Super Boost® is meant to beused for only up to two weeks at a timebecause of its high phosphorus levels. The proper nutrients for you to use in a hydro-ponic NFT system would be our RockwoolSoak®, Grow Aqua® and Bloom Aqua® formu-las. You can use Bud Blaster® in conjunctionwith Bloom Aqua® or switch to Super Boost®

at the end. These 3 formulas are all one partcomplete mixes that are buffered specificallyfor continuous feed systems.

AHello: The leaf tips curling under is a signof over fertilization. Four things come tomind that could be causing this condition. 1. The plant food is mixed improperly. Itis either too strong, or it is mixed into toolow a volume of water, meaning in a con-centrated form instead of into the final vol-ume of water. Certain minerals are lockedout of solution even after the water hasbeen topped up.2. The growth medium is drying out toomuch causing the nutrient concentration torise beyond range. 3. The water may have too high a concen-tration of metals or minerals, creating aghost or background electroconductivity.This is more prevalent in aeroponic or con-tinuous feed systems and eventually leadsto nutrient lock out.4. The growth medium has not beenleached regularly.

Hi; You can use Greenstay® as a supplementfoliar spray once or twice per week. It is agood idea to spray with plain water the fol-lowing day. This will help the plant toabsorb any residue left on the leaves andwill also help with respiration or gasexchange. One situation where you wouldnot use Greenstay® as a foliar spray is whenpowdery mildew is present, but you may useit as an additive to your nutrient reservoirunder these circumstances.
