to find matches.

Universal JobMatch

Profile building

In the first module we created a

“Personal Skills Grid”

You should be able to transfer most of your

personal skills onto the profile section.

Don’t worry, you can keep adding to this.

Universal JobMatch

CV

In module 2 we looked at creating your CV

You have 3 options on this site.

1. Use the build a CV tool

2. Upload your CV (Word or PDF)

3. Copy and paste your CV

Universal JobMatch

Profile and CV, Why does this help?

• When an employer places a job vacancy, the

program will search through a jobseeker’s

profile and CV and make a match.

• When you conduct a job search, the program

will match the wording against the ‘skill’s

section of your profile.

• Ensure that the correct wording is on both your

profile and your CV to get the best matches.

Universal JobMatch

Job Searching

There are 2 main methods

1. You can Browse jobs generally

2. You can use the search boxes

Universal JobMatch

Job Searching

• Try and use a title that matches one

you’ve seen before.

• Try and use a skill that the program

recognises.

• If you aren’t sure about where type in

your post code.

Universal JobMatch

Applying

• Some jobs need an application form

• Some jobs you submit the CV.

• If you are seeking more than one sort of

job you can have up to 5 CVs.

This allows you to “fine tune” your CV.
