EMPLOYING AN APPRENTICE Engineering Why degree apprenticeships? We decided to take on a degree apprentice as we see the degree apprenticeship as an opportunity to grow our own technicians. At the end of the apprenticeship we expect that we will gain an experienced and qualified technician that will add value to our business. For our current staff , degree apprenticeships enable us to support the development and progression of our people adding value to their job role and the business, whilst progressing their career. What are the benefits? The benefits of the apprenticeship are that the apprentice follows a recognised academic qualification, whilst learning how to apply their knowledge in real work situations. For the employer , on successful completion of the apprenticeship, they will benefit from having a professionally qualified graduate with a much higher level of experience.
