COHERENCE INDICATOR

This indicator measures the degree of co-relation between your results in Behavioural Recognition and Behavioural Adaptation

Your result in Behavioural Recognition corresponds very well with your result in Behavioural Adaptation. This means that you know how to take into account what you perceive from the behaviour of others, and can adapt your behaviour to theirs, whatever your degree of empathy.

RESULTS AND EVALUATION

Behavioural recognition Level 5 of 6

Results

The behavioural recognition skills shown up by your results prove that such an exercise comes easily to you. You will no doubt have realised, after taking the test, how valuable personality identification can be, whether in professional talks, or with your colleagues, your clients, or your partners. Being able to recognise the behavioural tendencies of others is the key to providing the requisite attention to their needs, motivations, focal points of interest, and also points of resistance. It is therefore a first step towards good communication. At present your results show excellent skill in interpreting the personality of others, which makes for easy dialogue. By honing your empathy skills even further you will reach an excellent level of communication, and even better levels of efficiency.

Suggestions To further improve your relational skills we would like to encourage you to pay attention to the words and gestures of others, as an exercise in understanding how to place yourself in their position mentally and emotively. This will simplify your understanding of their main points of interest and of resistance, leading to smooth and comfortable dialogue. We also advise you to participate in seminars on empathy development, to help you to hone your empathy, and to communicate even more profitably with others.

Behavioural adaptation

Your degree of behavioural adaptation derives from your previous score that is your skill in identifying the behavioural profile of your interlocutors. Depending on your degree of skill in this field you can use your empathy to put yourself in the position of an interlocutor, understand his or her behaviour, and adapt your own behaviour accordingly. In this way you create the best conditions for communication with others.

Level 5 of 6

Results

Your results in the field of behavioural identification show the ease you have in discriminating among the various types of behaviour; it is therefore not surprising that you can adapt to your interlocutors’ behaviour without any difficulty. In the face of complex attitudes you are highly observant, and react in a way which proves your understanding of the needs and expectations of an interlocutor. In your relations with others it frequently seems that a synchronism has grown up between you. This is your excellent adaptation skill working: your attitude towards the interlocutor is one of understanding, which consequently creates feeling between you. You often have pleasure in communicating, and feel the need to create relationships with others. Your skill in empathy is grounded on the attention and interest you show towards others; on your willingness to create a positive atmosphere; on your synchronism with them. All your behaviour towards an interlocutor can adapt to produce durable, high quality interchange.

Suggestions We suggest that you develop your empathy by making a habit of systematising your intuition, so that your interlocutors can profit from your empathy skills. To assist your development in this field, we would advise you to participate in empathy development workshops, thereby honing your abilities. As a further enrichment we feel that you will enjoy reading: “Social intelligence: the new science of relationships”, Daniel Goleman, Publisher Bantam, 403 pages.

RECOGNITION BY TYPE OF BEHAVIOUR

Your results differ from one type of behaviour to another.

In most cases you recognise best those types of behaviour which reflect your own, or with which you are familiar in your professional or domestic environments. You have more difficulty in recognizing a form of behaviour which is opposed to yours.

DEVELOPMENT POTENTIAL

Your development potential is the expression of any inappropriate replies you gave to the questions on behavioural recognition and adaptation.

Your development potential is inversely proportional to the appropriate replies given.

This means that you can improve by training yourself to recognise, and adapt to, the behaviour of the people around you. We recommend that you concentrate specifically on those types of behaviour which you have most difficulty in understanding.
