to our team...

MAINTENANCE PAYMENT
Each year, we request a voluntary contribution to the school’s Maintenance
Fund, which helps to pay for the upkeep of our buildings and IT equipment. As a
Voluntary Aided school, in contrast to other types of maintained school, only
90% of capital costs are met by the state.
The suggested termly maintenance contribution is £15 per child or £45 for the
academic year. You can pay online www.justgiving.com/emmanuelcoeschool or
by cash or cheque at the school office (correct money if at all possible) where
Gift aid envelopes are also available. If you have not yet paid your contribution
we would welcome payment before the end of term.

ASPIRE AWARDS
YEAR 5 AND YEAR 6 SWIMMING Year 5 and Year 6 will begin their swimming les-sons at Swiss Cottage Leisure Centre next week; 6Mc on a Tuesday afternoon and 5W on a Wednesday afternoon. The children will need to bring into school their swimming costume/trunks, a towel, swimming hat and googles if needed. Swimming is a statutory part of the national cur-riculum and we expect children to attend lessons every week. If pupils are well enough to be in school, they are well enough to go swimming!
POINTS OF CONTACT
The class teacher is your first point of contact for any questions or con-cerns that you may have during the year. We then have Phase Leaders: Nursery & Reception: Mrs Przybylska is the EYFS Leader. Year 1, 2, 3: Mr Wright is the Lower School Leader. Year 4, 5, 6: Mrs Dilley is the Upper School Leader. Do speak to them if needed. After this, you have our leadership team; my-self and Miss Bond. All the staff are in the playground at the end of each day; speak to them at the end of the day or make an appointment via the office. Many thanks.
FROM FR JONATHAN A very warm welcome back to school after the summer holidays - especially to all our new children and members of staff starting with us this year. We very much hope that you feel at home in the Emmanuel family already and we look forward to all that is to come this year. Yesterday we had our first School Eucharist of the term in Church and I was deeply touched to be presented with two beautiful cards from the School congratulating me on my 25 years as a priest - which is often called a Silver Jubilee of Ordination. The actual day of the anniversary was back in June, just as I was in the convalescence period from my surgery, but I made a decision to celebrate it this coming weekend. You would all be most welcome to join us at Emmanuel Church this Saturday (07 September) at 4 pm for my Silver Jubilee Festival Eu-charist, at which the preacher will be the Archdeacon of Hampstead and Bishop Rob, our Area Bishop of Edmonton will be in attend-ance. This will be immediately followed by a party at the back of Church and in the Church grounds. Blessing of backpacks - Sunday 08 September Following a tradition beginning last year, at both our 09:15 and 10:30 Eucharist's on Sunday morning all children are invited to bring their school backpacks or bags for them to be blessed as a sign of God’s blessing on them for the whole year ahead. Adults, too, are invited to bring their briefcases, laptop cases and other symbols of their work for a blessing on them.
MEDICAL NEEDS At the beginning of this new academic year we are updating our medical records in school. If your child has medication in school (e.g. an asthma in-haler or Epi-pen) please ensure you have completed a new Individual Health Care Plan or an Administration of Asthma Pump form to ensure we have up-to-date and accurate information to support your child. These forms are available from the school office. For more information, do speak to Miss Bond or Ms Conroy at the school office.
MISSION STATMEENT & VALUES Our school mission statement is ‘Always treat others as you would have them do to you’ as Jesus said in Matthew 7:12. Our Christian and learning values are compassed in our ASPIRE Tree. Please take a look below and talk to your children about how they are demonstrating these values at school and at home.
PAYING DINNER MONEY ONLINE If you would like to pay for school dinners online please contact Mrs. Lubert in the school office. School meals cost £2.18 a day. The cost of school meals until half term is £76.30.
CHILDREN GOING HOME ALONE AFTER SCHOOL
Please give written permission to the office if you would like your child to go home alone after school and specify which days this would apply to.
