Tournament Update Our thanks to the 92 players that turner out for this morning's Member-Member Tournament. We appreciate everyone keeping up pace of play so we could all beat the rain. The results are below. Our next tournament is our annual two-round Vic Kregel EMGA Championship. The sign-up sheet is in the book in the Senior Men's locker room. There are three columns for: Round 1 on Aug 3rd; Round 2 on Aug 10th; and lunch on Aug 10th. Even if you can only make one round, we encourage you to still play as you will be eligible for any skins and closest to the pins that day. Additionally, there is no requirement to pay to attend the lunch. We will need final head count on the lunch by close of business on Aug 3rd though. Our rules do require you have played in at least four other EMGA events to be eligible to play in the Kregel. If you cannot achieve this due for valid reasons, please contact Don Knight directly (d-eknight@comcast.net) for a possible exemption. Your Tournament Committee

EMGA Support to the EGC Junior Golf Camps The Eisenhower Golf Course conducted two Junior Golf Camps in June and our support aided in their success. They had over 70 kids participate in the two camps and our volunteers were there throughout to lend assistance. Thanks goes to our table volunteers of Phil Andreski, Larry Arkfeld, Don Knight, Jim Kline, Ted Rinebarger, Roy Rogers and especially Jim Simerville who aided in the scheduling of volunteers. Home & Away We played the Home end of the match with Colorado Springs Country Club last Tuesday. We came out the winners both for the day and for the overall bragging rights contest. The EMGA team won the day by a three to one margin, 18 points to 6 points. With the results we had at Colorado Springs Country Club last Thursday, we won the overall bragging rights 27.5 points to 20.5 points. EMGA winners at home included Larry Arkfeld and Alan Crow with a best net ball score of 61 and sharing a prize of $80 in pro shop credit. The team of Joe Beaudoin and Fred Steffers got second place and a prize of $50 in pro shop credit to share. They won in a scorecard playoff with the team of John Sova and Tony Goodman who got third place and a prize of $30 to share. Both the second and third place teams had a best net ball score of 63. Gross Skins went to Tony Goodman on holes #5, #9, and #14; Jim Prior on holes #4 and #7; Fred Steffers on #8; and John Sova on #18. Net Skins went to Steve Turner on #10, Don Brown on #12, and Alan Crow on #1. Skins paid $13 each in cash.

We will play our next Home and Away event next Monday and Tuesday. We play at home on the 17th wearing White shirts and showing up at the Falcon's Nest at 7:00 for an 8:00 shotgun start. We play the following day at the beautiful Perry Park Country Club in Blue shirts and arriving for a continental breakfast at 8:00 and a shotgun start at 9:00. Those who want to car pool can coordinate that Monday. The team for the Perry Park Home and Away is the following:

The team for the Home and Away event at the Club at Pradera is as follows:

Marc Craig, Ron Fortin, Mike Foy, Tony Goodman, Joe Hampton, John Horsman, Bob Peterson, Jim Prior, Willie Silva, Joe Staten, and John Weidner. Alternates include Russ Baker, Bill Ebersohl, and Gus Prete. We will play at home on Wednesday, 26 July, and away the following Wednesday, 2 August. We will wear White shirts at home and Red shirts away this time. We will have a 7:30 show time and an 8:30 shotgun start at each location. As always, if any of these players can't make it, please let us know as soon as possible.

This is the first call for players for the Home and Away event with Kissing Camels Golf Course. We will play at home on Monday, 14 August and at Kissing Camels on Tuesday, 15 August. If you would like to play, please sign up by sending an email to homeaway@emgacolorado.org. We still have a few more slots available than we have people signed up.

A big thanks to Mike Trivette and Kevin Alldredge for filling in for me while I'm away in Arizona for the rest of the year.
