provides financial assistance to help people in financial hardship to pay their

water, gas and electricity bills so their supply is not cut off.

People who require assistance with a HUGS grant should contact their utility

provider to see if they are eligible for a grant.

Midday Meals: Daily 11.45 am except Wed 11.30 am. Three course meal is $5

Eligibility: Local resident of the Fremantle and south-west metro region, over 21

without dependents and with a current Health Care Card or Pension

Provides healthy and nutritious meals, including material aid in the form of free

daily breakfasts and subsidised lunches for people who are homeless or at risk of

homelessness in Fremantle and south west metropolitan region of Perth.

Meals are located in the dining room of the day centre. The day centre has a

self-serve cafe style courtyard, movie room, billards, computer centre and a

library. Hot showers, clothing and blankets are also available..

Advocacy is also provided with referrals for housing, drug and alcohol

counseling, employment options and more. Our Emergency Relief team also

offers a number of other services to provide further assistance with financial and

welfare support. These include the provision of food parcels, food vouchers,

transport and medicine vouchers, help with the payment of utility bills,

accommodation, and the provision of clothing, toiletries and food. Our Youth

Place program also provides accommodation and emergency relief vouchers and

parcels of food and other essentials for youth aged 15-24 years of age.

Open Monday– Friday 9.30 am– 5.00 pm, Sat 9.30 am–1.30 pm.

A low-cost food centre independently run by volunteers. Provides material aid

and assistance in the form of low-cost food and emergency relief in the form of

food hampers or food vouchers for people who hold a pension card, health care

card or student card living in the area. An opportunity shop is located next door

in the Uniting Church.
