What will I get out of this course?

Emergency management is a key focus for all organisations. Would you know what to do if analarm sounded? Would you know who to approach about various hazards and risks?

This course covers requirements for safety procedures in respect to emergency management,and is based on best practice standards that are designed to be applied nationally. All Australian

 jurisdictions have their own legislation on emergency management and there are differencesbetween them. Where possible, we have highlighted where the differences may lie.

This course is designed for all employees in a workplace who need to understand and managevarious workplace emergency situations. This understanding and management of workplaceemergencies will ensure your safety in the workplace.

You have 6 months to complete the course; however you may complete sooner.

An annual administration fee may be included in the cost of this course – this will be detailed onyour enrolment form.

This is a full fee for service program, therefore no concessions are available. There are no refundsprovided after enrolment for this program unless requested within 5 days prior to start of study.

How do I enrol?

Enrol over the phone

1. Download the assoc iated enrolment documents and a copy of the relevant InstituteStudent Guide.

2. If you have Internet available, log on to Student Self Service (http://enrol.tafe.net) tocreate or update your personal student profile.

3. Call our Customer Service Contact Centre on 1800 657 387 during business hours withyour credit card and concession card (if applicable) details ready.

4. The Customer Service Officer will mail you a copy of your enrolment confirmation andreceipt to confirm your enrolment.

5. Paper based learning materials will be posted out to your mailing address within10 working days of enrolment.

6. Website login access will be provided to web based learning environments within 2working days.

Enrol in person (for customers residing in or near the north Brisbane metropolitan area)

1. Download the assoc iated enrolment documents and a copy of our Student Guide.2. If you have Internet available, log on to Student Self Service (http://enrol.tafe.net) tocreate or update your personal student profile.

3. Visit one of our 5 Customer Service Centres (Ithaca, Bracken Ridge, Caboolture, Redcliffeand Grovely) with your completed enrolment documents, credit card and concession card(if applicable) available.

4. The Customer Service Officer will provide you with a copy of your enrolment confirmationand receipt to confirm your enrolment.

5. Paper based learning materials will be posted out to your mailing address within10 working days of enrolment.

6. Website login access will be provided to web based learning environments within 2working days.
