ILLUMINATOR SERIES LV

STANDARD VERSUS ADVANCED SYSTEM CODE COMPLIANCE

The Illuminator Series LV is a 175VA-750VA fast transfer Emergency Lighting Inverter utilizing Myers Power Products advanced technology. The Illuminator LV is designed to support the needs of smaller facilities and those now utilizing LED lighting technology. This system meets all requirements of UL924 including self-testing and is listed by UL (Underwriters Laboratories). In addition, the optional meter panel feature of this system will allow the end user to meet the advanced testing & logging requirements as defi ned by NFPA101. The ability to support any lighting source including, but not limited to LED, Fluorescent, and HID enhances the ability of the end user to design the space for the fi t, form, and function they desire. The Illuminator LV (as well as all of the Myers Power Products family of Emergency Lighting Inverters) is designed so that any light fi xture that is appropriate for your facility can be chosen and used for both normal and emergency lighting. This means that the architectural features and design of a space do not have to be compromised by the use of additional types of fi xtures added solely to meet the emergency lighting requirements.

The Illuminator Series LV design is highly effi cient, minimizing the overall operating costs of your emergency lighting system. The design utilizes fast transfer technology which is an offl ine 2mS transfer system; able to support all lamp sources, the of-fl ine system is extremely reliable and effi cient making it exceptionally economical to own and operate.

With a substantially smaller footprint, this unit is available in 4 distinct capacities (175W, 350W, 550W, and 750W) and can be either wall or fl oor mounted. In addition, the 175 watt system is available in an optional ceiling grid mounted version where it is designed to be plenum rated. See page 5 for dimensions or visit our website at www.myerspowerproducts.com.

Advanced Systems: The advanced (Model Type 2 and 3) LV Series inverter is compliant with UL924 self-testing standards as well as NFPA101 self-testing standards. This system comes complete with a programmable meter panel (system mounted, remote mounted or handheld). This system performs a 5 minute runtime test 11 times a year and, a 90 minute runtime test 1 time a year. The dates and times of these tests are fully programmable by the end user. This system captures the last 25 tests in its internal test log. In addition to the advanced testing functions, this system allows complete access to a wide variety of data regarding the status of the system through the meter panel.

Standard Systems: Myers standard (Model Type 1) LV Series invert-er is compliant with UL924 self-testing standards. It is provided with a self-test feature that runs a test every 28 days and one extended yearly runtime test. This test is not programmable and is controlled by an internal clock embedded in the system electronics. After a successful completion of either of these tests the systems will indicate as such by illuminating the Ready LED indicator light. If a failure of either of these tests occurs, the Ready LED indicator will fl ash. There is no record or log of these tests. A complete list of functions is available in the Metering Manual on Myers’ website at www.myerspowerproducts.com.

ADVANCED SYSTEM OPTIONS

PROGRAMMABLE INPUT / OUTPUT OPTIONS

VARIABLE TIME DELAYAllows for programmable delay of inverter retransfer to continue supplying emergency power to the normally off output for up to 15 minutes after the return of power

OUTPUT CIRCUIT BREAKERSMaximum output breakers available: 750 watt system 6 total, 350/550 watt system 3 total, 175 watt system 0 available. Normally on, normally off, and switched options available

BACNETAllows for communications of data from the inverter using BACnet protocol. Myers’ user configurable system is a full MS/TP master slave device

USB MASS STORAGEProvides additional storage capabilities for up to 3000 alarms and 60 test logs. USB option allows for system logs to be copied to USB flash drive for import to data management program (software included). This option expands the capabilities of internal data and alarm logging

METERING PANELSAvailable in three configurations: System mounted, Remote mounted, and Handheld

FAST CHARGEA battery charger upgrade which decreases the time to recharge a fully discharged battery bank to a full charge. The recharge time is decreased from the standard 24-hour period to a 12-hour period

MOUNTINGWall mount (standard); optional recessed wall mount and plenum rated grid mount (175 watt only) and floor mount (350/550/750)

STATUS MONITORING CONTACTS (FACTORY PRESET TO LISTED ALARMS (Option “C”))AC Present, Inverter On/Off, Test Failure, System Overload, Near Low Batery, Blown Fuse Indicator

AVAILABLE STATUS MONITORING CONTACTS (6 MAXIMUM IN SYSTEM WITHOUT SWITCHED OUTPUT)On Battery, Charger Failure, Overcurrent, AC Present, Monthly/Yearly test failure, Load reduction alarm, System overload, Input voltage high/low, Output current, High ambient temperature, High battery temperature, Inverter ON/OFF, Near low battery, Blown fuse indicator

SWITCHED OUTPUT CIRCUIT BREAKERSUp to 3 separate switched 10 amp output circuit breakers. The number of switched outputs will reduce available contact relays (see chart on page 4)

ZONE MONITORING (Option “Z”)Monitors AC power presence in a specific zone (area, distribution panel, etc.). Upon loss of power in the zone(s), the inverter will turn on, activating all normally off (emergency only) circuits. All normally on loads will remain on. When primary power returns in the zone(s), inverter will turn off after its preset delay and normally off loads will turn off. Consult factory for quantity limits per application.
