experiment in another laboratory

•Acceptance rate of 20%

•Spend up to 3 months in host lab funded by EMBO

EMBO Young Investigator Programme (YIP)•For postdoctoral researchers working in an EMBC state within the first 3 years of setting up

their own laboratory

•Applicants should normally have 2 - 8 years post PhD experience, and must already be funded at

time of application

•Area: Molecular Biology including, but not limited to Cell Biology, Structural Biology, Immunology, Microbiology, Plant Biology, Neurobiology, Genomics, Bioinformatics, Bioenergetics, Virology, i.e. all areas of Life Science that include a molecular perspective in their studies.

•Award of Euro 15.000 per year for 3 years + discretionary “topping up”

•First round: 450 applicants, 55 accepted (12%); 22% women applied, 22% accepted were

women
