How can Futures benefit ESS Students
Preliminary report on findings suggested that students within the school lacked confidence in Business Skills.
The report also highlighted that students believed Work Experience & Communication Skills to be amongst the most important skills
By working in partnership with ESS, Futures can provide a tailored approach to help students gain access to a range of services, such as –
– Helping students prepare for placement– Access to Realistic Work Environments– Electives & University Certificates
Are Business Skills Important?
Recently attended a talk presented by a number of employers.
Employers highlighted that Soft Skills are important; The reality is they are seeing students with little Businessawareness and believe this is a skill ALL STUDENTS shouldhave.
By highlighting this as a weakness in the Preliminary Report onfindings the School can build upon improving employability ofstudents and Futures can help support this.
Conclusion
Preliminary Report on findings has proved beneficial in highlighting a number of key areas.
The School can now look at incorporating some key elements to courses. Giving students the best chances to achieve employment in an increasingly competitive job market.
By embedding employability into learning the School can benefit ALL students.
