LEC Training and its Aims

What is LEC:

Initiative to reduce the energy consumption of organisations operating within the UK by training their employees in energy efficiency, awareness and management.

Aims of LEC: (LEC 1 and LEC 2)

Embed energy efficiency training within organisational practices and establish it as a nationwide standard across all industries.

&

Equip individuals with the skills and knowledge required to reduce their personal energy consumption within the workplace.

(LEC 3 and LEC 4)

Train new generation of energy managers through upskilling and re-skilling routes.

EMA Energy Management Training

EMA Energy Awareness Course – LEC 1

30-minute course presents employees with the minimum

knowledge needed to raise awareness of their impact on

energy consumption. Employees who complete the course gain an

understanding of:

What and how much energy is used in the

workplace and at home;

Where energy comes from;

How their energy use can be assessed;

How to use energy more efficiently and reduce unnecessary

energy use.

LEC 1 – Energy Awareness

LEC Bronze = 30% of Employees trained in LEC 1 course

LEC Silver = 50% of Employees trained in LEC 1 course

LEC Gold = 80% of Employees trained in LEC 1 course
