Known as the birthplace of Star Wars, Elstree Studios has produced some of the most famous films in the world; the Indiana Jones and Star Wars trilogies, The Shining and Labyrinth to name just a few from an endless list. Providing seven film and TV stages, comprising over 60,000 sq ft of space, our stages range from 3,844 sq ft to 15,770 sq ft and from 25 ft to 50 ft in height. In particular, our George Lucas stages are two of the tallest in Europe, offering excellent grid loading and power. We also offer workshops, extensive production offices, dressing rooms, rehearsal rooms, wardrobe and make-up rooms as well as 40 on-site media related support services that range from lighting to post production. In addition to this, we also have access to over 900 parking spaces, special entrances and holding areas for audiences, space for film trailers and heavy good vehicles plus on-site catering.
