We take this opportunity to welcome you to our 2nd on property bull sale. During the past two years we have had very little rain and have had to feed a ration of hay and pellets for the for the animals to survive however we are pleased with the condition of the bulls being presented in this sale. Elstow Charolais Stud was established in 1987 and is one of the largest polled herds in New South Wales. We aim to produce structurally sound fertile bulls with excellent length, softness and the ability to fin-ish together with a great temperament. We breed females with plenty of milking ability, structurally sound and able to rear a calf under nat-ural conditions. In 2010 we entered a steer for the first time at the Brisbane Royal Show and won the Woolworths Pre-mier Carcase competition MSA Eating Quality Award with a purebred Charolais steer. In 2014 Elstow Humdinger H79E (P) R/F was Grand Champion Bull at Wee Waa & Walgett Show and Re-serve Champion Charolais bull at Dubbo Show. We haven’t done much showing this year but have had some good results where we did. We only took a cow and calf Elstow Freisia G24(P) to Coonabarabran and got Grand Champion Female of the Show she also got Reserve Champion Female at Dubbo. We won several group interbreed classes at Dubbo, Walgett and Wee Waa .

We have had positive feedback from clients cross-breeding using Elstow bulls, they have gained top prices in the saleyards and feedlots from the progeny.

All bulls have been semen tested and checked.

SALE INFORMATIONLOCATION: Elstow Charolais Stud is located on the Baradine-Gwabegar Rd, 8km south of Gwabe-gar or 33km north of Baradine. Turn into Meme-bene Rd, 3km turn right.

GST: is to be added onto the purchase price at the fall of the auctioneer’s hammer. You will be in-voiced purchase price plus GST.

REBATE: 2% rebate will be offered to outside agents introducing buyers in writing 24 hours prior to the sale and attending the sale with the client.

HELMSMAN SYSTEM: The sale will be conducted using the Helmsman System.

INSPECTION: May be arranged prior to sale day by contacting the vendor or selling agents. All cat-tle will be available for inspection from 9am on Sale Day.

DELIVERY: Free delivery will be available up to 100kms. Delivery can be given at the completion of the sale. All care will be taken of the cattle prior to delivery however no responsibility will be accepted. Animals awaiting transport or delivery will be held free of charge for a maximum period of 14 days.


A BUYER’S INSTRUCTION SLIP: must be complet-ed by the purchaser or representative and handed to the Agents in charge prior to leaving the sale. No verbal instructions will be accepted.

INSURANCE: There is no vendor insurance on sale bulls. It will be the responsibility of the pur-chasers to insure their bulls. Insurance repre-sentatives will be in attendance at the sale and can offer insurance terms on sale bulls.

FERTILITY: Bulls will be semen tested and sound-ness inspected prior to the sale.

HEALTH: Elstow’s herd is from a BJD ‘Protected Zone’, with MN1 equivalent status and therefore cattle are free to travel to all states except WA. All sale animals have been done with 7 in 1 and drenched with Genesis within the last 3 months.

ACCOMMODATION: Accommodation is available at Baradine, Coonabarabran and Narrabri. Please contact us for assistance.

BBQ LUNCH: Will be available, with all proceeds going to the Mereborough Landcare Group.
