Coach,
My name is Patrick Steenberge and I played Quarterback and lettered two seasons under coach Ara Parseghian at Notre Dame. It was at school that I learned the importance of team work and also of the power, influence and importance of international travel.
Global Football is an international sports travel organization providing the opportunity for young amateur athletes from different countries to compete against one another, while experiencing and learning firsthand about each other's cultures, customs and history.
At Global Football we believe in, and indeed see every year, the incredible effect of educational sports travel. At the beginning of each new football season hundreds of our travelers (players, staff, coaches, family, fans and friends included) return home better citizens, more confident, more enthusiastic in the classroom and on the playing field; more engaged in the world around them; better prepared for life and more likely to make a difference to each other as team mates.
Lead an educational sports tour with us and you’ll get your students’ attention and keep it. And best of all you’ll make a difference in their lives. I encourage you to contact one of your fellow coaches who have traveled with us to hear what their experiences were.
Happy trails!
Patrick Steenberge
President Global Sports Group.

Rome
It's hard to say what you'll find most breathtaking about the eternal city - the arrogant opulence of the Vatican, the timelessness of the Forum, the top speed of a Fiat Bambino, the millions of cats in the Colosseum, trying to cross a major intersection, or the bill for your latte.
Sightseeing in Rome is exhilarating and exhausting. That it wasn't built in a day is quickly evident when you start exploring the temples, residences, basilicas, churches, palazzi, piazzi, parks, museums and fountains. All this and the Vatican too!

Athens
Redolent with mythology, smeared with grime, Athens is an affable city enlivened by outdoor cafes, pedestrian streets, parks, gardens and urban eccentrics. If you get into the Athenian mindset, you might not even notice the layer of nefos (smog) overhead.
Modern tourists have the ancient Athenians to thank for the ease of getting to major landmarks around the city. Old Athens was miniscule compared to today's sprawling metropolis, which means that all the must-sees are conveniently huddled together in a fairly easy-to-manage rectangle.

Rome
Endowed with the legacy of 2700 years of history, Rome is one of the world’s greatest archaeological sites. We will see the Roman Forum and Coliseum and soak up the atmosphere of the Piazza Navona, studded with fountains and lined with tempting cafes. Seek out the Trevi Fountain, almost hidden in a maze of streets. Other famous sites include the Spanish Steps, the perfectly proportioned Pantheon and the massive memorial to the first King of Italy Vittorio Emanuele.
Although only 440,000 acres in size the Vatican State contains some of the best known works of art in the world, housed in some magnificent buildings. Our tour will take in some of the extensive collections of the Vatican Museums and of course the Sistine Chapel, its ceiling painted single-handedly over four years by Michelangelo. We also visit St Peter’s Basilica, heart of the Catholic church and one of the most impressive in the world.
