Together with the XPhone Unified Communications 2011 solutions from C4B, the elmeg hybird 120 and 130 systems become powerful and complete CTI and UC solutions.

The XPhone product portfolio comprises the single-license XPhone Express 2011 solution and the powerful XPhone Unified Communications 2011 client-server solution. While the affordable XPhone Express 2011 is already helpful in im-proving communications and daily workflows for a single workstation, the solution modules such as CTI, fax, voice-mail, and presence management available in the XPhone Unified Communications product ensure efficient commu-nications for 10 or more employees.

The elmeg hybird also offers simultaneous incoming call in-dication on both an internal terminal and an external tele-phone number such as a mobile phone. This setting can be turned on and off by entering a code. The simultaneous call indication activates when the internal subscriber is dialed directly. During the call to the external phone, the call can be put on consultation hold or transferred to other subscrib-ers on the elmeg hybird using DTMF key sequences.

Mobile and external devices such as smartphones and lap-tops are integrated into the el-meg hybird system using the wireless LAN infrastructure or as SIP clients. The integrated WLAN Controller in the elmeg hybird 120 and 130 enables simple configuration and setup of a bintec access point without any special knowledge of WLANs. This is possible thanks to the thorough implementation of a wiz-ard, which performs the installation for you in just five steps. Time-consuming searching for free WLAN channels is also a thing of the past. The automatic RF (radio frequency) Management System takes care of this for you, automatically selecting the best channels for the access point.

Your desk, on the move

The WLAN Controller functionality is a perfect match for the needs of small offices and home office users, since a bintec Access Point can be managed directly from the system. In addition to rapid data transmission, this also enables professional VoWLAN telephony, allowing users to remain within a single medium. Mobile devices such as tablet PCs or smartphones can thus be directly connected to the data network of the hybird system. Additionally, an IPSec client is available for the Apple iPhone® to ensure the highest degree of security. Teldat’s VoWLAN peripheral for the elmeg hybird, the certified Ascom i62 VoWLAN phone, adds professional mobile functionality. Using the WLAN network as a cordless telephone network is an interesting alternative to the established DECT technology. In addition to the ability to connect your existing DECT telephones to hybird systems, Teldat systems also allow you to use DECToIP components. A DECToIP system can be connected to the hybird using the SIP protocol —without an integrated module. The elmeg DECT 5040 handset is a high-end device with an integrated Bluetooth interface for wireless headsets. This handset has a large colour display and an intuitive menu structure.

The Ascom i62 SIP telephone comes with a WLAN interface and supports both the 2.4 and the 5 GHz standards, making it an ideal solution for VoWLAN telephony in conjunction with the elmeg hybird family and the bintec access points. The Ascom i62 is the perfect mobile VoWLAN addition to the elmeg hybird family. Using the WLAN network as a cordless telephone network is an interesting alternative to the established DECT technology. The Ascom i62 simply uses the WLAN for its wireless network, eliminating the need to install a separate DECT radio network. The sophisticated power saving features in the Ascom i62 are compatible with bintec access points (such as the W1002n), enabling up to 100 hours of standby and as much as 15 hours of talk time, fulfilling the demanding requirements of busi-ness telephony. The robust i62 is IP44-rated and suitable for use in offices, clinics, or even production facilities.

The elmeg IP60 is an affordable IP telephone that connects to public SIP providers using the SIP standard and does not require any SIP licenses on the elmeg hybird system. Indi-vidual features of the elmeg hybird system have been consis-tently implemented on the phone. The function keys of the IP 60 are an excellent example. The keys can be programmed as desired, for instance to display the status of other tele-phones connected to the system (busy lamp field).

With its DIME Manager and Configuration Interface (FCI), Teldat provides centralized, universal, and easy-to-use con-figuration tools for your hybird system. With the universal FCI multi-product interface, the configuration always has the same look and feel. This platform allows you to config-ure, monitor, administer, and update the components of the entire system (hybird 120/130, WLAN access point, or me-dia gateway) at any time with minimal maintenance.

Flexible user concept

The elmeg hybird systems have extremely flexible user man-agement, giving you the utmost in convenience. Numerous telephone numbers — both internal and external – can be associated with each user and then assigned to any number of terminals. In addition to centralized administration, the system also allows individual users to be granted permis-sions or access to specific functionality. A convenient user portal provides continuous access to individual settings such as call forwarding and system telephone configurations. There is no need to contact an administrator or consult thick manuals — everything can simply be done in a Web browser.

Configuration Interface (FCI)

The FCI, a web-based application that is served directly from the elmeg hybird, handles all the administration and rout-ing functions of the system using a single, unified interface for all aspects of the solution. DIME Manager The free DIME Manager uses device discovery to quickly and reliably find every elmeg hybird-series Teldat device on the network in addition to any bintec RS, R, RT, TR, W, or WI (except the W150n) series units. The application enables user-specific client support and is designed for use with up to 50 devices. It’s easy to allocate and manage devices, ensur-ing efficient network administration. The DIME Manager provides ease-of-use and a clear overview of all available devices, parameters, and files. User-friendly status moni-toring for devices and interfaces helps you keep ahead of problems before they develop and provides assistance for troubleshooting.
